Nevada GOP Candidate Slammed For Encouraging Supporters To Protest At Harry Reid's Funeral

Noah Malgeri, a Nevada Republican congressional candidate, has come under fire after he encouraged his supporters to protest at the funeral for the late Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, a Nevada Democrat who died last month at the age of 82.

According to Patriot Takes, which is dedicated to exposing right-wing extremism, protesters gathered outside the Smith Center for the Performing Arts in Las Vegas to protest President Joe Biden, who was scheduled to speak at Reid's funeral.

The protest, organized by Nevada anti-vaxxer John Carlo, attracted protesters waving "F*ck Joe Biden" flags, with Carlo himself waving the Confederate flag.

Patriot Takes reported that the protest was promoted by Malgeri, who is part of a stack of Republican primary candidates running for election to the House of Representatives to represent Nevada's 3rd Congressional District.

Many have criticized Malgeri in response.

Malgeri made headlines a few weeks ago after he called for General Mark Milley to be executed on live television for treason after The Washington Post reported on phone calls he allegedly made to Chinese General Li Zuocheng in October 2020 and January 2021 assuring him that the United States would not attack China.

Malgeri rejected calls for a congressional commission to investigate the matter because "all the evidence is out there," suggesting that Congress should simply "convene a general court-martial" and "try him [Milley] for the crimes."

He then suggested that executing Milley would bring the United States back to its "patriotic, liberty-loving roots":

"We need to get back to our patriotic, liberty-loving roots. What did they used to do to traitors if they were convicted by a court? They would execute them."
"That's still the law in the United States of America. I think, you know, if he's guilty of it by a court-martial, they should hang him on CNN. I mean, they're not going to do it on CNN, but on C-SPAN or something."

Malgeri has been endorsed by Arizona Representative Paul Gosar, who Republican who is currently under investigation for the extent of his involvement in the January 6 insurrection.

Gosar was recently censured by the House and stripped of his committee assignments after he shared an altered, animated video that depicts him killing New York Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and threatening President Joe Biden.
