Out queer hip hop artist Lil Nas X has once again taken his critics to task, this time with an acceptance speech at the MTV VMAs that has left fans cheering.

Lil Nas X took home three "Moonman" trophies Sunday night for his provocative "Montero (Call Me By Your Name)" video, which sparked an outcry among conservatives and the religious right for its homoerotic Satan-themed content and inspired accusations against Lil Nas X of promoting the so-called "gay agenda."

So, in his moment of victory, Lil Nas X took the opportunity to troll his haters by thanking that very "agenda" for his big win.

Your move, homophobes!

Lil Nas X gave his speech following his win for the ceremony's biggest award of the night, Video of the Year.

Holding his Moonman aloft, he thanked the "gay agenda" for his success.

"First I wanna say thank you to the gay agenda. Let's go gay agenda!"

The crowd roared with cheers and applause in response.

Throughout the ceremony, people were definitely feeling the Lil Nas X love. While introducing the hip hop artist's performance of hits "Industry Baby" and "MONTERO," gay actor Billy Porter, a star of the FX series Pose, paid heartfelt tribute to Lil Nas X's work and persona, casting it as a watershed moment for Black queer visibility.

"When I was first coming up in this industry, let me just say that the people were not ready for all this Black boy joy. But children, it's a new day. And I am so thankful to have lived long enough to witness it."

One of the most prominent LGBTQ advocacy groups, the Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation, also applauded Lil Nas X for including Black queer activist Madrequs Harris in his performance.

All in all, Lil Nas X's showing at the VMAs was a pretty stunning shot in the arm to the "gay agenda" of promoting acceptance, equity and equality for LGBTQ people.

The internet went absolutely wild for his drag of his critics.

Lil Nas X's "MONTERO" video also won two other awards Sunday night, for Best Direction and Visual Effects.

Let's go gay agenda, indeed.

In 2023, Zhao pleaded guilty to violating anti–money laundering laws after Binance allegedly failed to report suspicious transactions involving groups such as Hamas and al-Qaida. He later apologized, paid a $50 million fine, and served nearly four months in prison before being pardoned by Trump.

Gavin Newsom Expertly Trolls Trump Administration With Parody Spirit Halloween Costume Memes

California Governor Gavin Newsom had social media users cackling after he, in a series of photos on X, mocked Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth, Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem, and Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. with photoshopped meme versions of Spirit Halloween costumes.

Noem, who has led the nationwide immigration crackdown that continues to tear apart families around the country, is the "Border Barbie" of one meme that pokes fun at her for shooting her dog, her penchant for bringing camera crews wherever she goes, and the way South Park writers lampooned her in one of its most widely-seen episodes this year.
