Kirk Cameron Bizarrely Rages About 'Gay Dinosaurs And Trans Ducks' Teaching Kids Morality

The Growing Pains star is promoting his new Christian children's TV show, Adventures of Iggy and Mr. Kirk, while decrying "woke" Hollywood children's shows.

Right-wing Christian actor Kirk Cameron railed against an alleged "woke indoctrination" families are subjected to at home while promoting his "anti-socialist" children's TV program, Adventures of Iggy and Mr. Kirk.

The former star of the 1980s sitcom Growing Pains was an atheist in his teens but became a born-again Christian at the height of his early commercial success.

He has since condemned Hollywood and become an outspoken social conservative whose homophobic comments famously received backlash from celebrities and GLAAD (Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation).

Cameron recently bragged about his new kids show, Adventures of Iggy and Mr. Kirk, a collaboration with Brave Books, a Christian publication aimed at young readers.

Conservatives described the new show as a "modern-day Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood with a Christian twist," according to LGBTQ Nation.

Cameron said his show was a response to parents' craving for children's programming that teaches “wholesome values and morals.”

Speaking to Fox News Digital at the Green Carpet Premiere of the show, the 54-year-old evangelist denounced Drag Queen Story Hour events and modern kids' shows.

Cameron proclaimed:

“If you watch many of Hollywood’s kids shows, you would think that parents want woke instructions for their kids."
"But the reality is they don’t."

He then bizarrely ranted:

"They’re not looking for gay dinosaurs and trans ducks to teach their children morality.”

Cameron commented that the 2024 election results were an indication that Americans were ready to ditch "wokeness."

He continued:

“There was this wonderful aspect of the last four years, brought to attention where we go when we abandon good, wholesome, American constitutional values."
"And this has served as a wake-up call for parents and families all over the nation who not only voted, but they’re also looking for an opportunity to lean in to a solution and actually participate by training their kids, and raising them up in the way they should go.”

In response to a video shared on the Atheism subReddit, one commenter said:

"What the hell does socialism have to do with not being a bigot? I swear none of these hate mongering morons have any idea what words beyond two syllables mean."

Another commented:

"Well I don't want Kirk f'king Cameron teaching my children morality."

A third had a problem with Cameron's show on the same level as Mister Rogers' Neighborhood.

"Modern take on 'Mr. Rogers' while being completely against what Mr. Roger's actually taught, love for our differences and taking care of each other," they wrote, adding:

"F'k this washed up has been."

Social media users on Bluesky weighed in on his latest rant.

This guy needs to keep Mr. Rogers name out of his mouth. Mr. Rogers loved everyone just they way they are and cared for his neighbors. He showed us how to accept ourselves, love each other, and understand our emotions.

So...like Mr Rogers, but without the empathy? This should go well.

What the hell is he on, Mister Rogers was an ordained Presbyterian pastor who didn’t want kids to watch violence between people i.e. Three Stooges or Looney Toons

I feel like the world would be a better place if Kirk had just had a normal meltdown and recovery like other child stars. 🤷🏻♀️

I wonder what would happen if any of these people actually read the New Testament and discovered that Jesus was just about the most left-wing guy who ever lived.

Cameron is notorious for his anti-LGBTQ+ views and for advocating against equality.

In March 2012, Cameron appeared on CNN's Piers Morgan Tonight and had this to say about homosexuality.

“I think that it’s unnatural. I think that it’s detrimental and ultimately destructive to so many of the foundations of civilization.”

His comments sparked backlash from gay rights activists and celebrities including Roseanne Barr, Craig Ferguson, Jesse Tyler Ferguson, and his former Growing Pains co-stars Tracey Gold and Alan Thicke, whom he hasn't been in touch with since pursuing more Christian-themed productions aside from the occasional reunion specials for the popular family sitcom.

In 2022, Cameron griped about 50 libraries across the country allegedly rejecting or not responding to his requests to host children's events in public libraries to promote his book As You Grow, published by Brave Books.

Public libraries are considered safe spaces that are more inclined to host events promoting inclusivity, rather than ones pushing a political or religious agenda, which would explain why the door remains closed to Cameron.

He told Fox News at the time:

"As Bibles are literally being removed from schools and libraries -- and as Christianity, and faith, and the Ten Commandments are being taken out of schools and replaced with toxic ideas like transgenderism, [critical race theory], and the 1619 Project, I'm looking to fight back."

He continued:

"It's no coincidence that we're seeing these dangerous and toxic ideas such as gender theory and CRT and these kinds of things targeted toward our kids."
"Drag queen story hour and all of that -- it's not a mistake that this is going after the children because everyone understands that whoever controls the textbooks controls the future."

Healthcare Workers Share The Common Medical Myths That Drive Them Crazy

It's safe to say the majority of people have a somewhat romanticized view of medicine, largely owing to soap operas or prime time medical dramas.

Others have an equally skewed, if somewhat sadder, grasp on medicine, after being raised to fear or not trust doctors.
