The actor and the late night host were both on hand for the premiere of 'Air,' and Damon didn't hold back.

When will actor Matt Damon and comedian and host Jimmy Kimmel just bury the hatchet and finally let bygones be bygones?

According to Matt Damon, not anytime soon.

Yes, nearly two decades in the (fake) feud continues and Damon had some choice words for foe Jimmy Kimmel at the premiere of Air, Damon's new flick with Ben Affleck.

Of course, Kimmel did reignite the drama while hosting the Oscars a couple of weeks ago, asking Damon's Martian co-star Jessica Chastain:

"Was it difficult filming your movie 'The Martian' because your co-star Matt Damon can't read and smells like dog medicine?"

So when Entertainment Tonight asked Damon if he thinks the two will ever reconcile, he responded:

"No, no, he's an a**hole. Why would I ever do that?"

He expressed the same sentiment to The Hollywood Reporter:

"I mean, he's such an a**hole. He's just such a horrible human being. I can't believe the audacity to show up."
"Especially because I was sitting backstage, again, and he bumped me again tonight. So, you know... there you go."

You can watch the video below.

Viewers of Damon's interviews were highly entertained.

Some, however, feel the feud has run its course.

The origin of the feud dates back to 2005 when on Jimmy Kimmel Live! the host joked:

"I want to apologize to Matt Damon, we ran out of time."

It became a regular bit for Kimmel.

Then, Kimmel relived the joke when Damon was a guest in 2006, having the credits roll while Damon was in the guest seat.

You can see a montage of the bit with a finale from the 2006 episode below, complete with Damon's outburst.

Enjoy!

Now that Damon responded to Kimmel's Oscars diss, it looks like it's back in the late night host's hands to end the feud or keep it alive.

Somehow we think we know which he'll choose.
