John Cena & Nikki Bella Engagement: On or Off?

It’s no secret that the pair have had a rocky relationship since their engagement last year. After John Cena and Nikki Bella teamed up to beat The Miz and his wife Maryse in a match at WWE 'WrestleMania 33,’ he proposed to her in the ring at the event. Since then, fans have been wondering when they will officially tie the knot.

What happened?

At the time the couple gushed about their relationship.

Bella stars in reality show Total Divas, a show that has at points focused on her relationship with Cena. Back in 2014 on Total Divas, Cena, 40 and Bella 34, discussed their mutual disinterest in getting married. Specifically, Cena’s lack of interest in having children or getting marriage after his first failed marriage to fellow wrestler, Elizabeth Huberdeau.

It seemed the couple had overcome those concerns, Nikki even tried on wedding dresses.

Until a recent promo for Total Bellas came out. In the teaser, it seems like the pair may be ending their engagement. A crying Bella can be heard saying to Cena,“So we really want to call this off?”

But this couple won’t quit so easily.

Still Engaged

John Cena confirmed on TODAY in February 2018, that they are “determined to work through it.” He added that the couple is still together and trying to each do the work to keep their relationship thriving.

He said, “I am determined through thick and thin to find a way to make it work because I absolutely love this woman.”
