Texas Democratic Representative Jasmine Crockett didn't mince words when a reporter asked what she'd say if she could speak directly to billionaire Elon Musk amid DOGE's continued federal cuts—and the internet is cheering.

Crockett's remark came after Musk sent out an ultimatum to federal workers on Saturday to email the five things they did at work last week or get fired. In an X post, Musk previewed the email from the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) directing employees to provide a summary of the tasks they completed.

The message, which was sent to all federal employees later that day, asked employees to respond with “5 bullets of what you accomplished last week” and to copy their manager on the reply. The deadline for submission was Monday at 11:59 p.m. EST. Although he posted that "failure to respond will be taken as a resignation, the email itself made no mention of that.

Amid all this, a reporter asked Crockett the following question outside the Capitol:

"If you could speak directly to Elon Musk, what would you say."

Crockett's response was short, sweet, and to the point:

"F**k off."

You can watch the moment in the video below.

And many felt similarly.

Responses to Musk's email will be processed through an artificial intelligence system to assess the necessity of these jobs, according to three sources familiar with the system.

The information will be entered into an LLM (Large Language Model), an advanced AI system that processes large amounts of text data to analyze, generate, and interpret human language. The AI will then evaluate whether a job is considered mission-critical.

In an email sent to employees earlier on Monday, the Justice Department stated that during a meeting with the interagency Chief Human Capital Officers Council, OPM informed agencies that responding to the email is optional. OPM also clarified that, contrary to Musk's claims, failing to respond does not constitute resignation.
