After a widely lauded virtual Democratic National Convention last week, the first night of the Republican National Convention is set to begin on Monday night.
The Democratic convention featured speakers like former President Barack Obama, former First Lady Michelle Obama, 2016 Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton, and 2020 Presidential and Vice Presidential nominees Joe Biden and Senator Kamala Harris.
With such a star studded lineup, the GOP had big shoes to fill in announcing their featured speakers.
As it turns out, half of them were from President Donald Trump's own family.
Half of the “key speakers" are Trump family members. The RNC is a joke. pic.twitter.com/f6a5lJd5jt

The GOP later released a more complete list.

The list featured Donald Trump's eldest daughter, Ivanka Trump, who also works in the White House as a senior presidential advisor.
While her latest speaking engagement doesn't come as a surprise, the title used in the RNC's list took some off guard:
"The Honorable Ivanka Trump"
For years, critics of the Trump administration have chastised his appointment of Ivanka Trump—who has no government experience—especially when she's been spotted rubbing shoulders with world leaders and in the room in consequential policy discussions.
People were confused by her latest title.
Why is Ivanka “The Honorable Ivanka Trump" while Tiffany is just “Tiffany Trump"? https://t.co/kZXtI1yHCw

“The Honorable" Ivanka Trump? Wtf? She is not elected and was not confirmed to any position. She has not been knighted or won any decorations or been recognized for her valor. The Honorable? Gimme a break. https://t.co/TV1JA47Nqo

Here is the lineup for the speakers at the RNC starting tomorrow.
A veritable who's who of asskissers, bootlickers, dickheads, racists, and delusional im-staying-on-the-titanic lunatics.
Btw, what exactly is Ivanka Trump honorable in? pic.twitter.com/RstiYs404P

"The Honorable" Ivanka Trump"?
They spelled "Horrible" wrong.

Why is Ivanka listed as “The Honorable Ivanka Trump"? Why this title? For what degree or position? Seriously curious. https://t.co/iEbDSxSeNI

While the honorific wasn't extended to any of Ivanka Trump's siblings, it was used for soon-to-be former Presidential Counselor Kellyanne Conway and White House foreign policy advisor Ja'Ron Smith, indicating that the Republican National Committee was using it for White House officials, despite its traditionally being reserved for presidents, judges, and governors.
Nevertheless, people still believed the title didn't suit its recipients.
FUN FACT: Putting the words "The Honorable" in front of people like Ivanka trump, Kellyanne Conway, and Mike Pompeo does not make them any LESS dishonorable.
Because having the title "President" for 3.5 years hasn't made trump any more presidential.

“The Honorable" Ivanka Trump?
“The Honorable" Kellyanne Conway?
