A change.org petition was launched on Tuesday to have Butker dismissed from the Kansas City Chiefs for discriminatory remarks after his bigoted graduation speech sparked controversy—and it's already amassed well over 100k signatures.

A Change.org petition was launched on Tuesday to have Kansas City Chiefs kicker Harrison Butker dismissed from the team for discriminatory remarks after he gave a misogynistic and anti-LGBTQ+ commencement speech criticizing working women, reproductive rights, surrogacy, and LGBTQ+ rights at the ultra-conservative Benedictine College in Atchison, Kansas.

Butker, who urged male graduates to "fight against the cultural emasculation of men," claimed that "abortion, IVF, surrogacy, euthanasia, as well as a growing support for degenerative cultural values in media all stem from the pervasiveness of disorder."

Addressing women graduates directly, he added:

"For the ladies present today, congratulations on an amazing accomplishment. I want to speak directly to you briefly because I think it is you, the women, who have had the most diabolical lies told to you."
"Some of you may go on to lead successful careers in the world, but I would venture to guess that the majority of you are most excited about your marriage and the children you will bring into this world."

Butker also claimed that he is "beyond blessed" because his wife Isabelle "would convert to the faith, become my wife, and embrace one of the most important titles of all: Homemaker.” He said her "dream of having a career might not have come true, but if you ask her today if she has any regrets on her decision, she would laugh out loud without hesitation, and say, 'Hey, no.'"

The football player also denounced Pride—a celebration of LGBTQ+ solidarity and identity as resistance to discrimination and violence—as "dangerous gender ideologies," further describing it as a commemoration of "deadly sins ... that has an entire month dedicated to it." He called on graduates to adhere to "the true God-centered pride that is cooperating with the holy ghost to glorify him."

After news of Butker's remarks went viral, a petition was created to address his "sexist, homophobic, anti-trans, anti-abortion and racist" comments. The petition adds that Butker's "dehumanizing remarks against LGBTQ+ individuals, attacks on abortion rights and racial discrimination perpetuate division and undermine human rights."

It continues:

"These comments reinforce harmful stereotypes that threaten social progress. They create a toxic environment that hinders our collective efforts towards equality, diversity and inclusion in society. It is unacceptable for such a public figure to use their platform to foster harm rather than unity."
"It's important to note that these types of discriminatory attitudes contribute significantly towards societal issues such as hate crimes which have been on the rise in recent years (source: FBI Hate Crime Statistics). Furthermore, they can lead to increased mental health issues among targeted communities (source: American Psychological Association)."
We demand accountability from our sports figures who should be role models promoting respect for all people regardless of their race, gender identity or sexual orientation. We call upon the Kansas City Chiefs management to dismiss Harrison Butker immediately for his inappropriate conduct.

As of Saturday, the petition has garnered more than 200,000 signatures.

Many have criticized Butker, echoing much of what was outlined in the petition.

Butker's comments also drew attention from his employer, the National Football League (NFL).

In remarks to People, Jonathan Beane, the NFL’s Senior Vice President and chief diversity and inclusion officer, said Butker "gave a speech in his personal capacity" and that his views "are not those of the NFL as an organization." He added that the NFL "is steadfast in our commitment to inclusion, which only makes our league stronger."

The LGBTQ+ advocacy group GLAAD also issued a statement calling Butker’s speech “a clear miss” and “woefully out of step with Americans about Pride, LGBTQ people and women.”

UPDATE: The title of this article has been updated to reflect the petition signatures crossing 200,000 since the story was published.

GOP Senator Savagely Rips 'Stupid' Stephen Miller Over Greenland In Blistering Floor Speech

North Carolina Republican Senator Thom Tillis harshly criticized White House Deputy Chief of Staff Stephen Miller's "absurd" desire for the U.S. to take control of Greenland in a Senate floor speech on Wednesday.

Greenland is an autonomous territory of the Kingdom of Denmark and is, alongside the Faroe Islands, the only other autonomous territory within the Kingdom. Citizens of both Greenland and the Faroe Islands are full citizens of Denmark. As one of the Overseas Countries and Territories of the European Union, Greenland’s citizens are also recognized as EU citizens.

Texas A&M Bans Philosophy Professor From Teaching About Plato Due To 'Gender Ideology' Policy

Texas A&M University (TAMU), originally called the Agricultural and Mechanical College of Texas, is a public university in College Station, Texas. One of the largest research institutions in the United States, it is still beholden to the whims of the Texas state government.

In November, the school's Board of Regents passed sweeping reforms banning all race and gender ideology "advocacy" in lessons without their prior approval, forcing professors in all of the soft sciences and the arts to submit their curriculum for review.

ICE Agent Caught On Video Stomping On Candle At Memorial For Murdered Minneapolis Woman

An ICE agent has sparked outrage outline after he stomped on and kicked a candle at the makeshift memorial for Renee Nicole Good Wednesday night after she was fatally shot by another ICE agent.

Department of Homeland Security (DHS) spokesperson Tricia McLaughlin claimed Good “weaponized her vehicle, attempting to run over our law enforcement officers in an attempt to kill them.” But Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey pushed back against this narrative considering witnesses described seeing Good in the vehicle trying to flee officers when she was shot.

Minneapolis Mayor Has Mic Drop Response To Pearl-Clutching After He Dropped F-Bomb On TV

During a CNN appearance, Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey had pointed words for those who have a bigger issue with him telling ICE to "get the f**k out of Minneapolis" than they do with ICE's fatal shooting of Renee Nicole Good, a mother of three, in Minneapolis on Wednesday.
