Fox News Just Released A Promo Supporting Pride Month—And Got Called All The Way Out For It
Fox News

Social media users were left stunned after Media Matters for America (MMA) reported Fox News had released a promotional ad supporting Pride Month.

The ad, titled “America Together: LGBTQ+ Pride Month," prompted a rebuttal from MMA, which put together a supercut of the "inclusive" ad followed by recent examples of its hosts attacking the LGBTQ+ community.

A voice can be heard encouraging listeners to "Celebrate Pride Month with Fox News" before urging them to listen to "important voices of the LGBTQ+ community and go inside their incredible contributions.”

The video then cuts to multiple examples of Fox News personalities attacking and denigrating LGBTQ+ people, including as part of the ongoing "groomer" hysteria accusing LGBTQ+ people of building relationships, trust, and emotional connections with children so they can manipulate, exploit and abuse them.

You can watch it below.

For many, the supercut served as an effective example of Fox's long history of demonizing and scapegoating LGBTQ+ people in its news coverage and on its programs.

In recent days, Fox News has given airtime to conservative commentators who've generated an uproar about drag queens performing for kids.

In the last week, Bryan Slaton, a Texas state Republican Representative, complained about a Dallas gay bar that hosted a family-friendly drag brunch for young children and vowed to introduce legislation to stop what he called the “disturbing trend in which perverted adults are obsessed with sexualizing young children."

Similarly, Florida Republican Senator Marco Rubio took to Twitter to gloat after shaming an Air Force base into canceling its drag queen story hour.

Last month, Fox News personality Tucker Carlson attempted to discredit new White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre, claiming that she, the first Black woman and openly gay person to hold the position, only got the job because of her sexual orientation.

Carlson said that Jean-Pierre's appointment shows that the Biden administration found someone as “shallow, nasty and partisan” as out-going Press Secretary Jen Psaki, suggesting that the administration only assigns roles "exclusively in terms of groups" and not based on individual merit.

Idaho Bar Ripped After Organizing 'Hetero Awesome Fest' During Pride Month

An Idaho bar is drawing criticism after announcing it will be hosting a "Hetero Awesome Festival" (is that really the BEST name you could come up with? Maybe workshop it a bit more...) in response to LGBTQ+ Pride Month.

The grown adults who run Old State Saloon in the Boise suburb of Eagle are convinced that "traditional family values" are under assault because of Pride, so they will be holding their event on June 20 and 21 outside Idaho's state Capitol, to coincide with Pride celebrations.

RFK Jr. Slammed After Falsely Claiming Measles Vaccine Contains 'Aborted Fetus Debris'

Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. was criticized after he falsely claimed during a NewsNation town hall that the measles vaccine "contains a lot of aborted fetus debris and DNA particles," further promoting more anti-vaccine conspiracy theories.

Kennedy stated that the U.S. is managing its measles outbreak more effectively than other countries, noting that the number of cases has "plateaued."
