Hunter And Former NHL Player Faces Severe Backlash After Posing With Grizzly Bear He Killed 😡

Former National Hockey League player Tim Brent recently posted pictures on Twitter to celebrate the animals that he successfully killed during a recent hunting expedition, and people are disgusted.

Brent is a former hockey player for the Toronto Maple Leafs and the Anaheim Ducks. He and his wife, Eva Shockley-Brent, live in Cambridge.

He was recently hunting in the Yukon territory. During his jaunt, he killed a moose and a grizzly bear.

He posted photos on Twitter to chronicle the experience.

But instead of being met with adoration for his virile hunting conquest, Brent was met with disgust and anger.

The news that his animal killings were received badly shouldn't be a shock, what with Tess Thompson Talley's giraffe slaughter infuriating people everywhere.

However, Brent is attempting to use the guise that his family eats the animal's meat to defend himself from the criticism he has received since posting the photos.

That's an interesting stance for Bent to make, since bear meat is not known to be particularly tasty and can even make you very sick.

Brent even went so far as to call himself a "conservationist" when he posted about a threat he received.

But he's not a very responsible conservationist because the Yukon government has listed grizzly bears to be of "vulnerable" conservation status, and their predator is listed as "humans".

People are furious at Tim Brent's killing habit.

Mr. Brent, in case you were wondering, Oxford defines "conservationist" as,

"A person who advocates or acts for the protection and preservation of the environment and wildlife."

I don't see much protection or preservation going on, sir.
