DoorDash Driver Becomes Internet Hero After Rushing To Deliver Customer's Plan B Contraceptives

A DoorDash driver is receiving the internet's praises after making an effort to get contraceptives to his customer as quickly as possible.

The driver, who goes by Chandler on Twitter, posted a photo of the order with the caption "I literally sped to deliver this order."


He gained widespread notice on TikTok after user @nyjo.brennen reposted his tweet underscored with Mariah Carey's song "Hero."

Soon, people began flocking to the tweet to sing his praises.




Plan B is 95% effective in preventing pregnancy if taken 24 hours after sex, but though it remains effective for up to 72 hours.

But effectiveness drops to 61% after the 24 hour mark.

A lot of people from outside the USA marveled at how high the cost of the contraceptive was.




Without a prescription, the over-the-counter Plan B does routinely run $50+.

However, some insurance plans cover emergency contraception.

Local clinics and Planned Parenthood will usually have some as well for a lower cost.




Until healthcare and the conversation surrounding women's healthcare specifically in the United States enters into better territory, we are thankful for heroes like Chandler who made sure someone's birth control was effective.
