Remember Game of Thrones, Season 8?

Yeah, we'd rather not.

But that's just one example out of many others after Redditor SWSU asked the online community: "What did you want so badly to be good, but just wasn't?"

We apologize in advance for reminding you of some of your greatest disappointments.

"The movie version..."

Giphy

The movie version of "The Giver." I think Jeff Bridges did a great job, and it's a visually appealing movie, but they didn't need to add in the romance. They should have stayed true to the book.

AlliCakes

"It tasted like..."

A beer that a local brewery made that was a white chocolate stout. It tasted like a bag of nickels.

Over_Here_Boy

"I always pick..."

I always pick the wrong thing in restaurants and the badness seems to be directly proportional to my level of hunger.

migistia

"The ending..."

The ending of The Walking Dead. After 4 or 5 seasons, I was really ready for a satisfying conclusion to our heroes' story. Instead, they slowly killed them all off, replaced them with new people IDGAF about, and the damned thing is still on the air a half decade later.

Leeluu

"Getting my first ever..."

Getting my first ever period. I thought somehow that it would be magical, and that I'd be treated as an adult afterwards. Found out pretty quick that it freaking sucks.

WinterF19

"I thought it would help me..."

University. Or at least, myself in University. It's fine for most people, perhaps even the "best time of their lives."

I thought it would help me turn a new leaf into a better, ideal version of myself. Unfortunately, I can't stand the other students and I've somehow lost the passion for school I had 6 months ago.

I want to drop out so badly but that would just kneecap myself further.

theYonderExile

"I guess..."

Any time I go out to a fancy place to eat. I guess it's just not my thing. More of a taco truck and dive bar kind of person.

TwinkiWeinerSandwich

"I always grew up..."

Sonic (the drive up dinner). I always grew up seeing their commercials. The closest one was almost a hour and a half away, so I didn't get to ever really try out any of their stuff. Moved down to Oregon and had one 5 minutes down the road. Finally got to try it out and was left upset I had wanted to try them for so long.

thelottz

"Being an independent adult."

Being an independent adult. You think being away from your parents and making your own decisions will be so great. Then the bills start piling up, the to-do list never gets fully cleared, and you long for the days of being a kid again with fewer worries in the world.

DeathSpiral321

"Vinyl."

Vinyl. Spent hundreds of dollars on a turntable, speakers, preamp, amplifier and records of my favorite albums expecting it to be a huge step up from my bluetooth headphones, and I can't hear the difference other than the constant pops and crackles that are apparently unavoidable in most modern pressings.

MAGA Influencer Rages At 'CrossFit Bimbo' MTG For Refusing To Back Down On Epstein Files Release

The Republican Party finds itself taking sides over the release of the Epstein files, with the sides publicly attacking each other and observers predicting an implosion is imminent.

Jeffrey Epstein, a registered sex offender previously convicted in Florida for sex crimes against a minor, was investigated, indicted, and arrested by MAGA Republican President Donald Trump's FBI and Department of Justice in July of 2019.

Young Girl's School Presentation About Her 'Hero' Charlie Kirk Has People Sounding Off

MAGA X user @sola_chad sparked a heated debate after sharing footage of his daughter's school presentation about an "inspiring hero"—none other than the late far-right activist Charlie Kirk.

Kirk was assassinated last month while speaking at a university in Utah; the suspect was caught after a two-day manhunt and has since been charged. The Trump administration has used Kirk's death as an opportunity to crack down on free speech rights and to target and blame leftists for Kirk's murder, even though the shooter is aligned with the far-right.

MAGA Actor Rob Schneider Gets Blunt Fact-Check After Making Bonkers Claim About Children's Hospitals

Actor Rob Schneider was bluntly fact-checked after making the bizarre claim that children's hospitals did not exist when he was a child himself, suggesting that kids "weren't sick" back then.

That claim is par for the course from Schneider, a prominent anti-vaxxer who once campaigned against a bill in California requiring parents to get a doctor's signature if they choose not to vaccinate their children and was dropped from a State Farm ad campaign after claiming, among other things, that vaccines are "against the Nuremberg laws."

The Most Unfair Things People Have Seen In Relationships Due To Gender Roles

Let's face it: not all relationships are created equal, and the roles that people play in their relationships are not created equal, either.

Sometimes, that fact can be attributed to an inconsiderate or bad partner, or even just tough life situations, but often, it's because of people putting too much weight on gender role expectations.

Fox News Gets Blunt Reality Check After Championing 'Big Comeback' Of Hamburger Helper

Fox News was criticized after it happily reported on the rise of consumers turning to Hamburger Helper for meals even though that's a sign that the economy is in a very bad place.

Hamburger Helper comes in boxed form and consists of a dried carbohydrate (usually pasta or rice) along with a packet of powdered seasonings. The contents are combined with browned ground beef (“hamburger”), and water or milk to create a complete one-dish meal.
