The film provided a sneak peak on Twitter of the actor wearing the blue and yellow suit from the comics and the '90s 'X-Men' cartoon series, and fans were overjoyed.

Diehard Marvel fans finally got their wish after years of clamoring to see Hugh Jackman as Wolverine the way he was depicted in the original Marvel comics.

After appearing in nine X-Men films as the regenerative mutant, Jackman is revisiting the role in Deadpool 3 despite previously declaring his "Wolverine days were over" after his character died in 2017's Logan.

On Monday, the Deadpool Movie Twitter account offered fans a first look at Jackman and Deadpool star Ryan Reynolds in their costumes.

You can see the behind-the-scenes photo of Jackman and Reynolds, here.

Twitter went nuts.

Wolverine fans were especially thrilled to see Jackman finally wearing the iconic character's yellow and blue suit seen in Marvel Comics and in X-Men: The Animated Series that ran from 1992 to 1997.

The X-Men live-action movies ditched Wolverine's comicbook aesthetic, so the change in direction was a major win for hardcore fans.

Twitter users lose their minds.

And who can blame them?

There was one suggested room for improvement, however.

Deadpool 3 is slated for release on November 8, 2024.
