The Good Liars, a comedy duo known for lampooning American politics, went viral once again after sharing a video of a Trump supporter who claimed she's pro-choice—yet seemed not to realize or care that Trump appointed the Supreme Court justices who ultimately overturned nationwide abortion rights protections.
When asked for her thoughts on abortion, the woman said she believes abortion "is your own choice" and asserted that the decision is ultimately up to the individual.
But when it was pointed out that former President Donald Trump appointed Supreme Court justices that tilted the balance of the court to the right and overturned Roe v. Wade, the conversation took an odd turn.
Asked to respond to these events, particularly the justices "that took that choice away from so many people," the woman replied:
"I don't think it should be taken away, no. ... It [overturning Roe] doesn't bother me at all. I think he's the best man for the job."
When interviewer Jason Selvig noted that Trump "did take the choice away for a lot of women," the woman dug in her heels:
"He must have something in place if he made that decision. He's a great business man and I'm not going to go..."
"He's a great business man and I'm going to let him say what he wants to say and do what he wants to do."
You can watch their interaction in the video below.
It was a mind-numbing encounter—and people were gobsmacked.
The Good Liars have previously showcased what can only be described as an alternate reality of sorts among Trump supporters that highlights the strength of Trump's cult of personality.
Last month, the duo once again went viral after sharing a video of a Trump supporter they left tongue-tied after questioning her logic when she claimed former President Barack Obama was secretly pulling the strings for President Joe Biden—despite claiming Biden isn't really the President.
Davram Stiefler, one half of the duo, spoke to a North Carolina woman proudly displaying a "Trump 2024 Or Before" banner. When asked about Donald Trump's current status, she confidently claimed, "I believe he is" still the president. However, the encounter grew weirder after she could not explain how we are in "Obama's third term" even though she had just said Trump is in office.
