An anonymous 'Barry' crew member's post about how prepared and professional Bill Hader was during filming for the final season of the hit HBO series is a welcome balm to reports of nightmare sets.

It's almost a social media trope.

We've all seen them—a post with screenshots of a note app that starts talking about a man in Hollywood, or the music industry or sports.

Most of the posts with that format are going to shine a light on a negative aspect of the industry and the man in question.

However, a recent post about actor/director Bill Hader turned out to be the exact opposite. The post praised him as a director as the series finale of his show Barry wrapped up production.

The post was made on the Instagram account IA Stories.

IA Stories is an account where "TV/Film workers share stories [anonymously] about our work environments to build solidarity across crews/crafts."

The person wrote:

"[Bill Hader] knows firsthand how much of a beating the crew can take when a director comes in ill-prepared. Bill worked extensively in prep and always came to set knowing exactly what he wanted."

They added:

"When you work for someone like that, you want to do your best work."

They noted leadership sets the tone.

"Every single person on the cast and crew were some of the loveliest people on the planet, and it all comes from the top."

Fans of Hader were wary of the set up of the post.

It looks like so many others that exposed men behaving badly.

Others were just there for the outpouring of compliments about Hader.

Some shared their own personal stories of working with Hader.

Others commented Hader offers a glimpse of what working conditions in Hollywood should be.

The series finale of Barry premiered on May 28, 2023.

Meghan McCain Mocked For Seemingly Just Realizing That MAGA Wants Women To Stay Home And Raise Kids

Former The View co-host Meghan McCain was widely mocked after complaining about MAGA conservatives' "harsh views" about women who don't want children—prompting many to wonder if she's been paying any attention at all.

McCain's remarks come as conservatives increasingly encourage women, particularly younger women, to prioritize motherhood. Several women tied to the administration, including Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt, Katie Miller—wife of Deputy Chief of Staff Stephen Miller—and Second Lady Usha Vance, have recently spoken publicly about their pregnancies.
