The 42-year-old actor responded to criticism over her age gap with 24-year-old girlfriend Jade Whipkey after footage of the pair on the red carpet for Camp's new film Bride Hard went viral.

Relationships between two adults with significant age gaps are not uncommon, sometimes even more so in the crucible of Hollywood.

Actor Anna Camp of Pitch Perfect fame has come under some scrutiny after she appeared on the red carpet with her new girlfriend, Jade Whipkey. Camp is 42 and Whipkey is 24.

This difference in ages raised some eyebrows in comments on a post by Pink News about the couple, to the point that Camp felt she needed to step in and clear the air.

Camp, whose new movie Bride Hard also stars fellow Pitch Perfect star Rebel Wilson, has previously been married, twice. First to Scrubs actor Michael Mosley, then to Pitch Perfect alum Skylar Astin, the latter marriage ending in 2019 after three years.

Not much is known about where or when Camp and Whipkey met, but they appeared in a TikTok in February of this year, clearly together. Whipkey also works in the entertainment industry in LA.

Camp's rebuttal to the many commenters on the post who were critical of the age gap between her and Whipkey compared her emotional connection with Whipkey to ones she has had with men her own age.

"I’ve dated men exactly my age and Jade is FAR more mature than any of them. We have more in common than anyone else I’ve ever dated and can literally talk about anything and everything."
"Everyone is entitled to their opinion, and I'm wishing everyone well. Especially this Pride month."

Many people agreed with Camp, at least about the maturity level of men.

Opinions on their relationship were all over the place. There were numerous comments like those that caused Camp to defend her relationship in the first place.

Some folks, however, were more supportive, arguing that both of them are adults, so whatever floats their boat.

Echoing back Camp's own defense of her relationship, some folks reiterated that it can be more about maturity level.

And, some people said, this criticism feels a bit pointed, as this sort of relationship age gap in the entertainment industry is basically so common it's a trope.

In fact, one commenter argued, a little tongue-in-cheek, perhaps Whipkey is the one really coming out on top here.

Others were less in agreement, and thought that Camp's sexual orientation shouldn't factor in here.

Finally, there were those who were still suspicious, because they couldn't really picture themselves in that relationship.

Regardless of what the internet is saying, clearly Camp adores Whipkey and will defend their relationship.

Newsmax Host Epically Blasted For His Hypocrisy After Defending Trump's Profane Easter Tweet

Newsmax host Greg Kelly defended President Donald Trump's use of profanity in his Easter morning threat to Iran, prompting critics to resurface one of his own past tweets calling for a ban on use of the f-word.

Trump lashed out at Iran amid growing concerns about tanker traffic through the Strait of Hormuz, a narrow passage at the entrance to the Persian Gulf that carries roughly 20% of the world’s oil supply. Recently, Iran has struck several vessels in the area and warned ships against entering the passage, effectively halting traffic through one of the world’s most crucial energy routes.

MAGA Politicians Called Out After Falling For AI-Generated Photo Of U.S. Airmen Rescue In Iran

At least two Republican politicians are facing criticism after they fell for a clearly A.I.-generated photo of the rescue of two U.S. airmen whose fighter jet went down in Iran over the weekend.

U.S. special forces rescued the second crew member of an F-15 fighter jet shot down over Iran, according to three U.S. officials cited by Axios. The crew member, a weapons systems officer, was wounded after ejecting from the aircraft Friday but was able to walk and evaded capture in the mountains for more than a day.
