Woman Sparks Debate After Bringing An Entire Rotisserie Chicken Through Airport Security

TikToker @chloe.ggray shared how she bypassed the high cost of food while flying by bringing a whole rotisserie chicken through TSA—and viewers are divided.

It's no secret that flying is expensive, but sometimes it takes going to the airport to realize just how expensive everything else is. From needing basics like a new toothbrush to grabbing a bite to eat in the terminal in between flights or paying for an in-flight meal, the dollars can rack up very quickly.

Because of this, some people try to be crafty about what they will spend while traveling, which often means trying to bring outside food in so that they can skip on the airport editions of their favorite fast food restaurants and vendors.

TikToker @chloe.ggray decided that she had it all figured out when she realized that, between balancing her blood sugar and tracking her macronutrients, chicken would be the perfect food choice for her next flight.

So why wouldn't she bring an entire chicken with her?

Gray teased her carry-on in a seven-second video where she remarked:

"The only carry-on you need is a rotissy [rotisserie chicken]."

In a second video, Gray detailed her process a little more, simply stating that she did not like to spend money on expensive airline food and that she also needed to watch her macronutrients and blood sugar levels.

When she was pulled aside for carrying the chicken, she explained to the TSA that it would help keep her blood sugar at an appropriate level and that she also felt more secure making her own food choices. For these reasons, they allowed her to keep it.

During takeoff, the chicken had to be safely stowed away, but once passengers were allowed to lower their tray tables, the TikToker put the entire rotisserie chicken bag on her tray and proceeded to eat the chicken with her fingers.

The stunt left fellow TikTokers divided over what Gray had done, with some speculating that this was totally inappropriate with other passengers present, while others felt that this was a brilliant hack.

On the one hand, some found this to be inconsiderate, primarily because of the smell in the enclosed space.

But others thought, between the prices of food at the airport and on the flight, the quality and availability of healthy options, and simply being able to choose what they wanted to eat, that Gray was brilliant.

Airplane food is incredibly expensive, and even the cost of a flight goes up if you seek out any upgrades or modifications during your flight, and even when the money is spent on the food, the food quality and how healthy it is might not be the best.

Carrying on an entire rotisserie chicken, in the original bag with liquid and bones still present, might be crazy work, but it's at least understandable why a person would consider doing it.
