Don Jr. called out Ron DeSantis for 'campaigning in Ohio' during massive flooding in Fort Lauderdale.

Donald Trump Jr. took to Twitter to criticize Florida Republican Governor Ron DeSantis for his out-of-state travels as southern Florida suffered from historic flooding caused by torrential rain.

Fort Lauderdale and surrounding areas received more than two feet of rain, flooding homes, highways and shutting down the city's international airport.

Trump Jr. suggested DeSantis is neglecting his duties as governor by focusing on campaigning instead of taking care of his constituents by "campaigning in Ohio right now instead of taking care of the people suffering in his state" while "Fort Lauderdale is under water."

DeSantis—who has not yet announced his candidacy for the 2024 presidential race—is widely expected to do so soon.

However, his increasingly bitter rivalry with former President Donald Trump has been making headlines in recent weeks. Trump has already declared his candidacy for the White House in 2024, and rumors suggest that DeSantis is a top possible candidate.

The situation has become all the more complicated now that Trump has been indicted on 34 felony counts following an investigation by the Manhattan District Attorney's office into hush money payments he made to two women during the 2016 presidential cycle, particularly adult film actress Stormy Daniels.

Given that DeSantis is Trump's bigges political rival at the moment, it's no wonder Trump Jr. has attacked him.

Trump Jr. has been exposed to heavy criticism as many accused him of projecting.

As the situation in southern Florida continues to unfold, it remains to be seen how the governor's out-of-state travels will impact his political career.

DeSantis has announced a State of Emergency for Broward County in response to the flooding, showing that he is taking action to address the situation. He has also posted updates on Twitter about the flooding and the response teams working to deal with it.

While the governor's office says that the state's emergency response apparatus is "in full swing," Fort Lauderdale's mayor, Dean Trantalis, a Democrat, said during a press conference that DeSantis had not spoken with him about the flooding and ongoing cleanup effort.

Lauren Boebert Casts Doubt On Moon Landing During Wild Interview With Conspiracy Theorist

Colorado Republican Representative Lauren Boebert was criticized after she seemingly agreed with the conspiracy theory that the moon landing was faked in a wide-ranging interview with conservative conspiracy theorist Alex Stein.

The segment began with the duo casting doubt on nuclear weapons—Boebert even joked about needing "tin foil"—and moved into weirder territory when Stein praised Boebert for "vibing" with him on the topic of the moon landing. Conspiracy theorists have long alleged the moon landing was fabricated by NASA in what they claim was an elaborate hoax.
