White House Sparks Outrage After Tweeting Unhinged Threat Amid Tariffs Pause

After President Trump announced that he'd be pausing his proposed tariffs for 90 days, the White House's official X account tweeted an all-caps threat.

The official White House X account drew backlash Wednesday after posting an open threat against any country that responds in kind to Trump’s on-again off-again tariffs.

Trump had once again put a pause on his trade war, but that didn't stop the White House from firing off an inflammatory tweet.

The official White House account posted:

"DO NOT RETALIATE AND YOU WILL BE REWARDED"

People got big sociopath energy from the Trump administration's message.

There were plenty of responses on X where the message was originally posted.

Other platforms also had a lot to say, especially Reddit where global subReddits gave a much needed outside perspective.

It wasn't very flattering for Trump or anyone who enables or ignores him.

International audiences saw a different energy behind the tweet.

Far more fascist than sociopathic.

But the rest of the world didn't seem to get the message that they should feel very intimidated by the Trump administration.

While some mourned what the United States had been, others pointed out the U.S. needs the world, but the world no longer needs them.

Redditors in the United States had another focus in mind.

Finding out who posted the message and others like it.

A message central to Trump’s three presidential campaigns was how respected the United States would be by the entire world if only he were President.

So far, that's another promise made, another promise not kept.

Newsmax Host Epically Blasted For His Hypocrisy After Defending Trump's Profane Easter Tweet

Newsmax host Greg Kelly defended President Donald Trump's use of profanity in his Easter morning threat to Iran, prompting critics to resurface one of his own past tweets calling for a ban on use of the f-word.

Trump lashed out at Iran amid growing concerns about tanker traffic through the Strait of Hormuz, a narrow passage at the entrance to the Persian Gulf that carries roughly 20% of the world’s oil supply. Recently, Iran has struck several vessels in the area and warned ships against entering the passage, effectively halting traffic through one of the world’s most crucial energy routes.

MAGA Politicians Called Out After Falling For AI-Generated Photo Of U.S. Airmen Rescue In Iran

At least two Republican politicians are facing criticism after they fell for a clearly A.I.-generated photo of the rescue of two U.S. airmen whose fighter jet went down in Iran over the weekend.

U.S. special forces rescued the second crew member of an F-15 fighter jet shot down over Iran, according to three U.S. officials cited by Axios. The crew member, a weapons systems officer, was wounded after ejecting from the aircraft Friday but was able to walk and evaded capture in the mountains for more than a day.
