Another Tiktoker, @geemcgwee, created a spoof of the video.

Out of the same playbook of 20th century stay-at-home moms, the 21st has given rise to the stay-at-home girlfriend. Like their predecessors, these new age women allow their significant other to take care of the bills while they opt to tend to the needs of the house.

The trend has grown with increasing popularity as of late and many women now post their stay at home experiences to social media. However, it seems our modern social norms have yet to catch up with this phenomenon.

In a recent TikTok, user Kendel Kay (@kendelkay) sparked quite a stir after her viral stay-at-home routine was met with mixed reactions.

The clip reveals Kendel Kay living as productive a day as any.

She first wakes up and does her skin care routine. She then grabs juice with her boyfriend Luke, followed by writing in her journal and knocking out chores around the house.

Throughout the video, Kendel Kay consumes healthy meals like celery juice, matcha green tea, bell peppers and an acai bowl.

Kendel Kay and Luke take to their fitness as well. She showcases her daily trip to the Pilates studio and also drops Luke off at his gym.

Towards the end of the clip, Luke buys her a bouquet of flowers and they head off to her Dad's birthday.

While the TikTok seems positive as a whole, some did not take too kindly to Kendel Kay's content.
