New York Cop Placed On Leave After Calling For Hillary Clinton's Hanging In Transphobic Rap

New York Cop Placed On Leave After Calling For Hillary Clinton's Hanging In Transphobic Rap

Robert Sisco of the New Paltz, New York Police Department is facing harsh criticism for recently surfaced video of a transphobic rap which also calls for the death of Hillary Clinton.

The video shows officer Sisco in full police uniform, rapping for social media in his squad car.

He drops this non-rhyming line which attracted the wrong kinds of attention:

"There's only two genders and Trump's still your president / Boys have a penis and girls have a vagina."

The New Paltz community immediately expressed their outrage over the clip online, where the "town board" said they'd received many complaints.

The board also issued a unified statement saying:

"We are so sorry that the trust of many in our community has been broken and that their safety feels threatened. No one in our town should have to feel that way about our police."

Although Sisco does mention near the end of his rap that "I'd rather use my words than resorting to violence," his threats against Clinton and transphobic messages in the midst of Pride month were enough to warrant disciplinary action.

The New Paltz Police Department is now investigating the video to "explore and direct responsive action in this matter."

Sisco has been placed on a paid leave while his video is investigated. The internet, however, feels the consequences he faces should be more serious.

It really shouldn't have to be said that police officers shouldn't be rapping threats against Hillary Clinton while on duty.
