The actor reflected on working with the 'gentle giant' in the beloved film 'The Princess Bride' during an interview on 'The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon.'

Actor Robin Wright recently told Jimmy Fallon that her costar André the Giant had an interesting way of helping her warm up on the set of The Princess Bride.

Wright is legendary for her role as Princess Buttercup in the beloved classic, but it seems the process of shooting it was far from enjoyable.

During an interview on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, she told the host of how she was constantly freezing on the film's chilly, damp British locations. But André the Giant had the perfect way to warm her up: palming Wright's head "like a basketball."

Looking back on the film, Wright reflected on the man she called "a gentle giant." The French former wrestler, born André René Roussimoff, played the character of Fezzik, who helped Cary Elwes' Westley rescue Wright's character from the film's villains.

She told Fallon that she shared a special bond with André, who passed away shortly after the film's debut in 1987, in the miserable shooting conditions.

“We were so cold shooting outside, England — raining constantly."

So André the Giant devised the perfect way to warm up his costar.

Wright went on to say:

"I was freezing and I was shivering and he just came over to me and palmed my head like a basketball."
“And it was so hot because he was always sweating, he was hot all the time because he's such a big man.”

André the Giant came by his name honestly. Owing to an excess of growth hormones while growing up, he stood at 7' 4" and weighed more than 500 pounds.

She told Fallon it ended up being the perfect antidote to Wright's on-set chills.

“It was like having a sauna on my head. It was fantastic, it was great."

On social media, fans of Wright and the film loved her anecdote about André the Giant.

Wright also spoke to Fallon about her latest project, the fittingly-named Netflix film Damsel, a twist on the traditional prince-and-princess story, in which Wright plays queen to Millie Bobby Brown's princess. The film premieres March 8.

Trump Gets Brutal Reminder After Shaming Former Counterterrorism Chief For Remarrying Too Quickly After Wife's Death

President Donald Trump was given a blunt reminder of his own past after he shamed Joe Kent, the former National Counterterrorism Center director who recently resigned over the war with Iran, saying Kent had remarried too quickly after the death of his first wife.

Kent, a former Green Beret and political candidate with ties to right-wing extremists, was confirmed last July in a 52–44 vote to lead the National Counterterrorism Center, where he oversaw efforts to analyze and detect terrorist threats.
