After school principal Amy Andreassen shared how teachers at her school tricked her into thinking it was 'Wear Your Brightest Colors' day, some viewers felt the prank verged on bullying.

We should all be able to agree that pranks and jokes are only funny if everyone involved ends up laughing, and in the age of TikTok trends and online pranks, a lot of these jokes aren't the "jokes" they claim to be.

But sometimes pranks are much more heartfelt than people want to give them credit for.

On the night before the second-to-last day of school for the academic year, school principal Amy Andreassen (@average_principal on TikTok) received a series of messages from her teachers and staff, reminding her of the school's plan to wear colorful clothes the next day.

They also clarified that her use of pink was only one color and that she needed to amp it up.

Andreassen was excited about the "Wear Your Brightest Colors Day" and picked out her best outfit.

The catch was the color assignment was only for Andreassen.

While the principal dutifully showed up in a hot pink dress, colorful long shawl, pink tights, pink and white shoes with pink laces, and cute cat ears, the rest of the teachers and staff showed up in black and gray clothes, making Andreassen the pop of color for the day.

Pranked again. 😬 This one was pretty creative! Now - before someone types “insubordinate” - it was all in good fun. We have 2 days of school left and the principal is always fair game for shenanigans. #principaltok #principalsoftiktok #teacher #iowa #endoftheyear #summervacation #principal #prank

Some fellow TikTokers were deeply bothered by the prank and felt that Andreassen had been unnecessarily singled out and embarrassed. Fortunately, they felt she looked fabulous anyway.

Others, however, pointed out the positive vibes found in the colorful principal's caption to the video:

"Pranked again! This one was pretty creative! Now, before someone types 'insubordinate,' it was all in good fun."
"We have two days of school left, and the principal is always fair game for shenanigans."

They argued that this had all been in good fun, and the "prank" was simply a way to celebrate Andreassen and make her stand out.

Wonderfully, Andreassen agreed.

In another video, Andreassen showed her outfit and addressed the video to "those who are worried about my toxic [work] environment." The video was a montage of happy and Instagram-worthy photos of her staff, teachers, her students, and herself, clearly enjoying life and their time at the school.

In the caption, the principal confirmed:

"I have the absolute BEST staff. It's all about relationships!"

#CapCut I have the absolute BEST staff. It’s all about relationships! ❤️ #leadership #iowa #principal #americaneedspublicschools #principalsoftiktok #teacher #school #principaltok #endoftheyear #

Though some were sure that the teachers and staff were inconsiderate of their principal, most felt that there was nothing insubordinate happening here, Adreassen included.

It seemed the prank was all in good fun and in the spirit of the final days of the school year.

Plus, if you have a principal who can dress so fabulously, how could you *not* "trick" her into assembling a masterpiece?

Ivanka Trump was criticized over her tone-deaf plans to develop Sazan Island, an off-grid island off the coast of Albania, into a private resort with her husband, Jared Kushner.

The development will reportedly include 10,000 hotel rooms and villas along a stretch of ecologically sensitive coastline encompassing the Vjosa-Narta lagoon and the nearby island of Sazan. According to Newsweek, the resort "spans wetlands and coastal habitats known for supporting bird migration routes and marine wildlife, which environmental groups say could be at risk."
