As important as it is to get a check-up when we feel like something is wrong, it's even more important to receive proactive care whenever we can.

Singer P!nk put this into practice this year when she traded in her New Year's Eve celebration, snowboarding, and "fancy face lifts" for an important neck surgery that will surely impact her health and happiness for the better.

She shared an Instagram post, featuring her smiling brightly in a hospital bed, complete with a hospital gown and a fresh bandage on her neck after her surgery was complete, clearly satisfied with her decision.

P!nk wrote in the caption:

"I want to say Happy New Year’s to everyone. I am so happy to say goodbye to the snake year and welcome in the horse."
"I am leaving behind all of my hurt in 2025. This year was a doozy for all of us, and it ran the spectrum from absolutely devastating to mildly annoying."
"In amongst all of that, there was so much beauty. And I got to wake up every day and get out of bed and go about my business."
"The business of loving my children and helping them to follow their dreams. Showing them that life is an adventure or nothing at all."
"Loving and laughing, cooking and dancing, crying and screaming, forgiving and apologizing, and all the rest of our beautiful messiness."
"So much beauty in amongst it all. So many more good people in the world than bad."
"I said goodbye to incredibly important people, and I said hello to new ones. I’ve realized dreams this year, as well as nightmares."

The last big decision she made for the year was one for herself.

"And I end the year giving reverence to, paying attention to, and to fixing my body."
"It may not be a fancy facelift, but I am getting two new shiny discs in my neck."
"A new scar, a new reminder, that I appreciate this vessel that I have and use it for all it’s worth."
"Rock ‘n’ roll is a contact sport. And as I sit here by myself on New Year’s Eve in a hospital room while my family is happily snowboarding."
"I know that 2026 is going to be better because that is the choice that I have made."

Then she made a special wish for everyone, going into the new year.

"I hope and pray every person can make that wish, have that choice. I know that isn’t a reality for some."
"I will work this year to help preserve the choices of others to make for themselves and their families, and this very pursuit of happiness."
"Let’s do better for ourselves and for others. Let’s not be afraid to take care of ourselves and others."
"I choose joy, and I leave behind the hurt. I’m going to choose positive thoughts over negative ones. And I’m going to rage against the dying of the light. I’m going to reclaim my wild. And I’m going to keep searching for the light, even as I experience the darkness."
"Happy New Year, and may you experience more joy than sorrow, more sunshine than rain, more love than hatred. Let’s shed that old snake skin. And find our horsepower."

It's unfortunately not in everyone's budget or work schedule to get the care they need, but it really should be. You cannot pour from an empty cup, and you cannot achieve all that you're capable of when you're sick or in pain.

Like P!nk said, may more people be able to receive the care they need in 2026, and may more people be well.

Even Fox News is stunned after President Donald Trump threatened to "bomb the sh*t out of" Oman if the country "gets in the way" of talks between the U.S. and Iran.

Trump’s remarks came amid stalled U.S.-Iran negotiations and separate talks between Iran and Oman over how commercial shipping could resume through the Strait of Hormuz. MAGA Rally Crowd Applauds After Trump Says He'll 'Never Apologize' For Higher Gas Prices In Surreal Viral Video

President Donald Trump was met with applause from supporters in a surreal moment at a MAGA rally on Long Island, New York, after he told attendees he'd "never apologize" for higher gas costs due to his war with Iran.

A recent Gallup poll found that 55 percent of respondents felt their finances were worsening, a level of pessimism exceeding that seen during both the COVID-19 pandemic and the 2008 financial crisis. This comes as the highly unpopular war in Iran continues to rage, sending gas prices surging. Americans have spent an additional $59 billion on fuel since Trump launched the war.
