Conservative Host Cites The Bible In Bizarre Rant Accusing Swifties Of Committing 'Sin'

Newsmax host Greg Kelly went off on a bizarre rant accusing Taylor Swift fans of 'idolotry,' saying it's a 'sin' in 'the Bible.'

Newsmax host Greg Kelly became the latest conservative mouthpiece to attack Taylor Swift for existing and being talented. As with most of his rants, it's a little difficult to determine his point.

Conservatives have targeted Swift before for encouraging people to register to vote and for endorsing Biden-Harris in 2020. But in his latest rant, Kelly directs his criticism at Swifties, even citing the Bible's warnings against the "sin" of "idolatry."

You can watch an excerpt of Kelly's diatribe here:

Kelly said:

"They are totally over the top worshipping this woman."
"Have you seen any of the pictures of her in concert? I wouldn’t go myself. I don’t do that kind of thing anymore. But I think what they call it is, they’re elevating her to an idol."
"Idolatry, this is a little bit of what idolatry, I think, looks like. You’re not supposed to do that. In fact, if you look it up in the Bible, it’s a sin! So, I don’t like that."

I'm sure Swifties everywhere are very concerned about what Greg Kelly does and doesn't like.

As the segment continued, Kelly predictably went after Travis Kelce and Swift's tendency to urge her fans to vote Democratic:

"And I’m also over this new boyfriend.
"And she is going to use all of this popularity, potentially, against MAGA and for Democrats. She’s got a record of this stuff, a track record."

Then he veered into conspiracy theory territory.

"Some people think this is a massive psy-op."
"They’re gonna build her up, and build up Kelce as well. Build them up, build them up, build them up, and then at the moment of truth, they’re going to endorse Biden."

Despite Kelly's dire warnings about the evils of The Eras Tour, he found little support online.

Some pointed out Kelly's own idolatry, as he is unapologetically a devout MAGA minion.

Others found better examples of idolatry.

None included Taylor Swift.

One person volunteered to replace popular Trump MAGA memes with Taylor Swift.

No idolatry here.

Kelly previously ranted about Democratic President Joe Biden's dog. He also said "being gay" was Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg's full-time job.

Kelly also did a hard-hitting expose on his own experience with marijuana, claiming it led to an unplanned flight to Africa.

Rainbow Bridge Honoring Kids' Beloved Late Pets Gets Cruelly Vandalized—And Everyone Has The Same Thought

"The rainbow bridge" is a euphemism for where deceased pets go after they pass, and people have called it that for decades now.

But when you're an anti-LGBTQ+ bigot, everything looks like a threat to your bizarre obsession with gender roles and people's personal lives. And sadly, it seems "the rainbow bridge" is no exception.

Tech billionaire Joe Lonsdale—the co-founder of the software company Palantir—sparked outrage and faced swift pushback after he called for a return of public hangings for violent criminals to demonstrate "masculine leadership" in America.

Lonsdale made the remarks in response to online criticism of Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth, who is facing heavy criticism for his cavalier attitude toward the Department of Defense's attacks on alleged drug-smuggling vessels in the Caribbean

Gavin Newsom Hilariously Dunks On Trump For Hosting The Kennedy Center Honors

California Governor Gavin Newsom trolled President Donald Trump by sharing an AI-generated photo of himself accepting the inaugural—and not real—"Kennedy Center peace prize" from Trump.

The photo accompanied a post in which Newsom mocked not just Trump but also Ric Grenell, the Kennedy Center's president, whom Newsom referred to as a "janitor" in a post that—like many of Newsom's past posts—is written in a style not unlike the rants Trump publishes on Truth Social.
