Fox News Analyst Asks What Jeff Flake Got for Forcing a Delay on a Vote on Brett Kavanaugh's Nomination, and Twitter Has Answers
WASHINGTON, DC - SEPTEMBER 28: Sen. Jeff Flake (C) (R-AZ) speaks during a meeting of the Senate Judiciary Committee September 28, 2018 in Washington, DC. Flake was crucial in getting the committee to agree to an additional week of investigations into accusations of sexual assault against Kavanaugh before the full Senate votes. A day earlier the committee heard from Kavanaugh and Christine Blasey Ford, a California professor who has accused Kavanaugh of sexually assaulting her during a party in 1982 when they were high school students in suburban Maryland. Well, he asked.

There was quite a bit of drama in the Senate Judiciary Committee on Friday when Senator Jeff Flake announced that he was only voting to pass Brett Kavanaugh out of committee to a full Senate vote on the condition that the FBI re-opened their background check into Kavanaugh to look into the various sexual assault allegations against him.

Once Senator Lisa Murkowski backed Flake up in this demand, Republican Senate leadership -- and ultimately Donald Trump -- had no choice but to relent and request that the FBI do just that.

But while many cheered this result, Fox News analyst Brit Hume took another tack, asking what Jeff Flake got out of the deal:

Many on Twitter were dumbfounded by the tweet:

And decided to answer his question for him:

Not to mention potentially very real progress getting to the truth:

And one user felt Hume should be asking a different question altogether:

Indeed.

It should be noted that the White House appears to be limiting the scope of the FBI's investigation to a point where people are concerned that this may end up being an empty gesture to give cover to some Republicans to ultimately support Kavanaugh.

In a recent TikTok trend, people are presenting young children with "fake eggs" and crushing the egg in their hands to show that the eggs are fake.

In order for this trend to work, the person has to poke a hole into each end of the egg to drain it of its yolk and let the shell dry, so it becomes more brittle and easy to crush, making the prank more believable.

Guy Sparks Debate After Abandoning Girlfriend In Economy While He Booked Himself A First Class Seat On Flight

That was certainly true for TikToker Nicole Vawter, or @nicmarievee, anyway, when fellow TikTokers called her partner out on selfishly booking himself a first class seat while his long-time girlfriend sat back in economy.

Guy Sparks Modern Dating Debate With His Unhinged Texts To Woman Who Turned Him Down For Second Date

You know what they say: if a person has to point out how nice they are, they probably aren't really all that nice.

Actions tend to speak louder than words, with an affinity for niceness and kindness being among the best examples. When a person is truly nice and kind, it will come through in their daily attitude and actions without them having to say anything at all.
