Harry might not be who you think he is...

Reddit users are a special breed. These folks are always looking out for something to discuss—the more far out the better. They've even got their eyes peeled for that new take on an old thing. In fact, even when something has been analyzed to death in the mainstream, Redditors seem to be able to come up with a fresh take.

And that is just what someone did on a r/ShowerThoughts sub yesterday—freeing us all of our preconceived notions about Harry Potter. More than a decade after the first Harry Potter book was released, an anonymous Redditor shared a theory that blew more than a few minds and garnered over 3,000 comments.

Harry Potter isn't a nerd, he is a jock. He didn't try very hard in school, cheated on homework constantly, was a sports star, and ended up joining the police/military.

It didn't take long for Redditors to get a handle of this line of thought before they were adding their own bits of evidence in support of the theory:

But wasn't Harry's journey from nobody to savior sort of the point of the whole series?

Whether you got the whole Zero-to-Hero arc in Rowling's fantastical series or not—the idea of Harry being "the jock" instead of the "nerdy outsider" might just be something you'll never be able to get out of your head. Thanks Redditors.

Gavin Newsom Hilariously Trolls Trump For Struggling To Stay Awake During Antifa Roundtable

Antifa is a loose network of anti-fascist activists with no central structure, no funding, no membership roster, and no offices or leadership hierarchy for prosecutors to target.

Remote Worker Speaks Out After Job Uses 'Dystopian' Software To Track His Productivity

There are a few vital truths to every office-based job. First, there are going to be "busy work" moments, from meetings to admin tasks to minor side-quest-style projects that add to the company in some small way but otherwise feel like a waste of time.

Second, as human beings, we all need breaks to restore our mental focus, so a person who occasionally scrolls through their personal email, sends a few texts to a friend, or even scrolls Instagram for a few minutes, will likely be more productive than those who attempt to lock in and do nothing but their job throughout their entire shift.

Man Hospitalized After Samsung Galaxy Smart Ring Swells On His Finger Before Flight

Most of us have worn a ring at some point in time. If the ring felt a little snug and struggled to pass the knuckle, we might have experienced that irrational fear that the ring might not ever come off again!
