In a conversation with Today, Aria's mother, Rose Alvarado, said that she planned the surprise for her daughter after catching on to her excitement at the thought of Myers turning up at her birthday.

"She loves many spooky movies including 'Frankenweenie,' 'Coraline,' 'Corpse Bride' and especially 'Halloween' with Michael Myers."

In the costume was actually Alvarado's husband, who donned the iconic blue coveralls and William Shatner mask to give the little girl a bit of joy.

"We knew she liked him, but we did not expect her to react like that...Her reaction was so funny, so I thought I'd post the little video online."

Several others noted that they could never have done this as a kid. One user noted that they were "terrified of an open closet when I was a kid."

But it may be time for this child and the rest of the fearless generation with her to take the reigns.
