'Stranger Things' Star Maya Hawke Slams Roe Reversal On 'Fallon': 'F**k The Supreme Court'

People are cheering Stranger Things star Maya Hawke after she delivered an extremely to-the-point message about the reversal of Roe v Wade.

It took Hawke just four words--one of them emphatically four letters long--to say what we're all thinking: "F**k the Supreme Court."

Hawke delivered the pointed missive during an appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, seen below.

Hawke, who is the daughter of actors Ethan Hawke and Uma Thurman, told Fallon that she had called her mother before her sit-down with Fallon intending to get advice on her first big talk-show appearance.

Instead, they ended up talking about the Supreme Court's decision Friday to overturn Roe v. Wade and in so doing obliterating abortion access in wide swathes of the country.

Thurman has long been an activist on several issues, abortion rights among them. She famously wrote a powerfully affecting essay for The Washington Post last year about her own abortion experience in the wake of the extremely restrictive abortion law passed in Texas at the time.

Hawke reference her mother's essay and activism in her comments on Fallon, telling him:

"My mom wrote this really beautiful essay about her abortion that she got when she was really young."
"And about how, if she hadn't had it, she wouldn’t have become the person that she’d become, and I wouldn't exist, and how both of my parents’ lives would’ve been totally derailed if she hadn’t had access to safe and legal healthcare — fundamental healthcare."

Hawke also pointed out the ways in which socioeconomic privilege impacts abortion access in a world without federally protected access to reproductive healthcare. She told Fallon:

"Wealthy people will always be able to get abortions but so many people, because of this ruling, will not only not be able to pursue their dreams but actually lose their lives and be unsafe."

She then summed up her thoughts with the perfect ending:

"I just wanted to say, fuck the Supreme Court."

Amen.

On Twitter, Hawke's words left people cheering.

Hawke ended her comments on abortion with a hopeful rallying cry:

"We're gonna keep fighting, and we're gonna win like our grandmothers did."

Hear, hear.

Karoline Leavitt Responds To Pope Leo Calling Out MAGA's 'Pro-Life' Hypocrisy—And Somehow She Made It About Biden

Pro-forced birth conservatives are upset as their hypocrisy has been called out again. Self-proclaimed pro-lifers were appalled to be told again that being pro-life means supporting more than embryos and fetuses.

On Tuesday during a press gaggle, Pope Leo XIV criticized the United States government's treatment of immigrants, saying—under his authority as the head of the Holy Roman Catholic church—Catholic politicians must be judged on the full range of their policy positions, not just on their rhetoric about abortion.
