Does Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson use steroids to maintain his famed physique? Is it anyone's business?
Well, Joe Rogan—podcast host and notorious inflammatory cultural commentator—sure thinks it is. In a conversation with a YouTuber behind the show "More Plates More Dates," Rogan wanted to know "Does the Rock say he’s clean?"
Derek, the YouTuber, replied and said "he has implied it pretty heavily, but he also doesn’t end up in scenarios where he gets asked point blank."
You can see the exchange here:
“Joe Rogan: "The Rock needs to come clean" about allegations that he uses steroids.

"There's not a f---ing chance in hell he's clean. Not a chance in hell. As big as The Rock is, at 50?"”— Citizen Free Press (@Citizen Free Press) 1670282072
This vague answer annoyed Rogan, who blew up in a typical Rogan-fashion.
"The Rock should come clean right now…. There’s not a f***ing chance in hell he’s clean."
"Not a chance in hell. As big as the Rock is at 50?"
Rogan, it should be noted, is 55 himself and has owned up to using various substances to maintain his body in the past.
He went on to try to make a point about why he cares so much.
“There’s a responsibility that you have to people that are listening to you."
"And if you don’t want to talk about it, that’s one thing. But if you do talk about it, there’s a responsibility that you have to people that are listening to you."
"And I think you have to be honest. Which is why I’m honest about it."
As is usual with Joe Rogan's statements, people's responses were all over the map.
First were those who thought Rogan was just stating the obvious about The Rock's alleged steroid use.
“@nypost Is....is there a debate about this? Really?”— New York Post (@New York Post) 1670441940
“@nypost “Joe Rogan accuses kardashians of plastic surgery””— New York Post (@New York Post) 1670441940
“@nypost That's like accusing Snoop Dogg of marijuana use.”— New York Post (@New York Post) 1670441940
In the further conversations about "does he or doesn't he," people tried to clarify Rogan's point for him.
“@nypost You all are missing the point. Rogan has been open about his own use of TRT. The conversation was about how Hollywood lies about not using gear and give young men false hopes that they too can look like that with just a healthy diet and exercise alone.”— New York Post (@New York Post) 1670441940
However, Rogan's history on this subject and other pieces of medical advice he dispenses made him hard to listen to on this, some people thought.
“There's great irony in Joe Rogan calling out the Rock for lying when he hosts some of the biggest frauds and charlatans on his podcast who do nothing but lie start to finish.”— Mark Horton (@Mark Horton) 1670348316
“@Independent Joe Rogan gave many 'medical advices' whoch were doubtful... his opinions in anything are irrelevant at this point.”— The Independent (@The Independent) 1670391973
“The Rock could easily host a podcast but Joe rogan could never play the Tooth fairy. Nuff said.”— malc (@malc) 1670445144
Some people came to The Rock's defense.
“@Rap The Rock has admitted to using Performance Enhancing Drugs when he was 18, but said he hasn't used them since. I believe him, his body looks the way it does due to hard work and dedication, Joe Rogan is a hater... #TheRock #JoeRogan”— RapTV (@RapTV) 1670444459
Some added even if The Rock were to take steroids, he'd still have to work very hard to gain and keep the physique he has.
Just taking steroids doesn't give you an 8-pack.
“@089968Raph___ @Rap One day you guys will realize that steroids doesn’t mean lack of hard work. Not a single person on this planet will ever argue that he doesn’t work hard, harder than the vast majority of people. He still is almost certainly juiced. Not mutually exclusive”— RapTV (@RapTV) 1670444459
“@nypost Thanks for stating the obvious...That doesn't minimize his hard work.”— New York Post (@New York Post) 1670441940
“Everyone in the fitness industry knows The Rock is juiced to the gills. It's obvious.

Yes, he works hard, no one can take that away from him.

But his physique isn't attainable without assistance, period.

And Dwayne should be honest about it.

https://t.co/pjUQLrWSIh”— Jason Helmes (@Jason Helmes) 1670384399
As Rogan is notably inflammatory and The Rock is relatively beloved, this probably won't be the last we hear about this subject.
