Jessica Chastain found a hilarious silver lining after she tripped on her dress as she climbed the stairs to accept a prize at this weekend's Screen Actors Guild (SAG) awards ceremony.

The actor accepted the award for Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Television Movie or Limited Series for her role in George & Tammy.

The moment she tripped on her dress can be seen below.

She later admitted she was "a little embrassed" by her stumble on the stairs but nonetheless found something to smile about:

"I tripped on the stairs — but I had two very handsome men helping me up so that wasn't so bad."
"I'm just so over the moon and happy [about the award] and I can't believe it."

Chastain—who won the Academy Award for Best Actress last year for her role in The Eyes of Tammy Faye—is a three-time SAG Award winner, previously winning last year for her role in Tammy Faye as well as for her performance as part of the ensemble in 2011's The Help.

In her acceptance speech, she said she was inspired to pursue an acting career by the late actor Philip Seymour Hoffman, who once spoke to her class when she was a college student and "encouraged us to keep going even when we felt like no one was watching us."

Chastain later said the "shock of last night really swept me off my feet" in a post to her official Twitter account which showcased her speech.

For what it's worth, no one held that fall against her.

Chastain's fall on her way to the stage brought to mind when actor Jennifer Lawrence tripped on her way to the stage to accept the Academy Award for Best Actress for her role in 2012's Silver Linings Playbook.

Lawrence later debunked the myth that she faked the fall—as had been suggested by CNN anchor Anderson Cooper—calling the experience "a horrific humiliation."

Lawrence said in an interview in 2020 that she was very "nervous" and "superstitious" that night because she "didn't want to acknowledge the possibility that [she] would win."

Pritzker Perfectly Claps Back After Trump Tells Him To 'Spend More Time At The Gym'

Illinois Governor JB Pritzker issued the perfect response to President Donald Trump after Trump said Pritzker "ought to spend more time at the gym"—quite the laugh coming from a man who isn't in shape himself.

Pritzker's weight has long been the subject of attacks—Trump has previously said Pritzker was “too busy eating” to lead his state—and Trump added his latest insult to the mix while complaining about Democratic governors who've pushed back against his plans to deploy military troops into their states.
