President Donald Trump has only doubled down in his refusal to accept the reality that President-elect Joe Biden defeated him in the 2020 election with 306 electoral votes. Biden also dwarfed Trump in the popular vote, earning over six million more votes than the incumbent opponent.

The President has responded by tweeting a weeks-long barrage of lies and conspiracy theories about widespread voter fraud, of which there is no evidence.

Faced with the unenviable task of legitimizing these lies in court is the President's legal team, led by Rudy Giuliani and Jenna Ellis.

The pair held a "hearing" at a Hyatt Regency hotel in Arizona on Monday and put forth so-called witnesses who aired their suspicions of voter fraud.

As the hearing was happening, the state of Arizona certified its election results declaring Biden the winner of the state, which hadn't gone blue since 1996.

Ellis reacted to the news on Twitter.

She decried the certification as "unethical" but assured that the Republican state legislature could appoint Trump-loyal electors to subvert the people's vote.

They do not, in fact, have the power to do this.

The Arizona state legislature cannot convene without two-thirds support of members from each chamber, which would require the acquiescence of Democrats to achieve.

What's more, Arizona law requires electors to cast electoral votes for the candidate who won the majority of the state's votes. That candidate is President-elect Biden.

Ellis' latest lie only generated more mockery.

This latest statement—coupled with her weeks-long efforts to undo the election on baseless and fraudulent claims—called the legitimacy of Ellis' law license into question.

Ellis' tweet comes just after she was ridiculed for making similar claims about the election certification in Michigan.

Kyrsten Sinema And Joe Manchin Give Dems And Labor Unions The Middle Finger With Vote

Outgoing Independent senators Kyrsten Sinema (Arizona) and Joe Manchin (West Virginia) gave Democrats and labor unions the middle finger by siding with Republicans to oppose confirming President Joe Biden's renomination of Lauren McFerran for the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB), which will let President-elect Donald Trump seize control of the board next year.

NLRB is the federal agency responsible for safeguarding employees’ workplace rights. Sinema and Manchin's decisive “no” votes doomed the nomination, as all Senate Republicans also opposed it. Only one of their votes was needed to secure McFerran’s confirmation.
