After Ireland's Bray Head wildfire subsided, an important message thought to be from World War II was revealed.
The gigantic message reads "Éire" and was meant to warn airmen during WWII that they were flying over Ireland, a proclaimed neutral territory during the second World War.
The word was written in multiple places so the country wouldn't be confused with nearby Britain. Check out some of the images.
Twitter is fascinated by this bit of history.
Others reflected on the country's history.
What a fascinating discovery!
