Michelle Pfeiffer and Jamie Lee Curtis were among the nominees forced to miss the awards show.

The crowd was a bit thin at Sunday night's Critics' Choice Awards in LA after several stars came down with COVID following the Golden Globes last week.

Though awards season is now in full swing, Critics' Choice was the first major awards event to require COVID testing for all attendees.

A rep for winner Jean Smart confirmed she was unable to attend due to a positive test result. Smart won her second consecutive Best Actress in a Comedy Series award for her role in HBO Max's Hacks.

Hacks' co-creator Jen Statsky shared in an Instagram story she too was "riddled with the novel coronavirus."

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Colin Farrell and Brendan Gleeson—who were both nominated for The Banshees of Inisherin—also contracted the virus.

Best Actress in a Limited Series or Movie Made for Television nominee Michelle Pfeiffer confirmed on Instagram she would be missing the Critics' Choice Awards thanks to "yep, COVID."

Pfeiffer was especially disappointed to miss Jeff Bridges receive his Lifetime Achievement Award.

Best Supporting Actress nominee Jamie Lee Curtis had some choice words for the virus.

The Everything Everywhere All at Once star posted a photo of her positive COVID tests to Instagram with the caption:

"F**k Covid!"
"Sadly, this head cheerleader is not going to be at all the weekend festivities cheering on her friends and colleagues."

Curtis was referring to the now-viral capture of her excitedly cheering on costar Michelle Yeoh on her Golden Globes win.

She also shared that she was grateful that she did take the test as it resulted in her not further spreading her germs, and she is looking forward to future award season events.

She finished:

"Stay safe out there people."

Some on Twitter wondered how the outbreak will affect the rest of the season.

But most just wanted to check on their favorite celebs.

Many also sent their well wishes.

Fortunately, there are some cheerleaders on the other side of the two solid lines.

Michelle Yeoh reciprocated Curtis' encouragement in an Instagram post.

Holding a shirt with the iconic Golden Globes moment, Yeoh wrote:

"Love you @jamieleecurtis!! Speedy recover, need my hand in yours."
"We all miss you."

We wish them all a speedy recovery, as well.

Vice President J.D. Vance and the wider Trump administration are facing criticism now that Colonel Susan Meyers was removed from her post as commander at Greenland's Pituffik Space Base after breaking with Vance in an email she wrote following his controversial visit to the island territory.

Greenland is an autonomous territory of the Kingdom of Denmark, alongside the Faroe Islands, the only other autonomous territory within the Kingdom. Citizens of both Greenland and the Faroe Islands are full citizens of Denmark. As one of the Overseas Countries and Territories of the European Union, Greenland’s citizens are also recognized as EU citizens.

Karoline Leavitt Dragged After Making Mind-Numbing Claim About Trump's Tariffs Reversal

White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt is getting called out after she attempted to justify President Donald Trump's sudden reversal on his proposed tariffs, telling reporters that his actions make sense because he has a master plan to make the world bend the knee.

Trump declared a full 90-day suspension of all the “reciprocal” tariffs that took effect at midnight April 10—except for those on China—in a dramatic about-face from a president who had long championed his historically high tariff rates as permanent.
