Fox News Blasted After Covering Eyeroll-Worthy News Item Instead Of Stock Market Plummet

The Daily Show shared a screenshot of what Fox News decided to cover instead of Trump's tariff-induced stock market drop on Thursday morning—and it's peak Fox News.

Fox News—which unironically once used the slogan "Fair and Balanced" to describe their network—is rarely accused of sharing accurate, unvarnished truth.

Their own defense in a lawsuit over former host Tucker Carlson's on-air lies was to claim any reasonable person would know Carlson lied all the time—throwing a bit of shade at their own audience that didn't seem to draw that conclusion.

So now that MAGA Republican President Donald Trump is tanking the strong economy he was handed by Democratic President Joe Biden less than three months after taking office, Fox News is, of course, covering the most important issue facing the United States.

Comedy Central's The Daily Show highlighted Fox's stellar coverage in a post on X—where most Fox viewers lurk.

A screenshot from Fox News is captioned:

"CNN: Stock market plummets"
"MSNBC: Stock market craters"
"Highlights for Children: Stock market down big"
"FOX News:"

The chyron on the screenshot shows:

"NEW INFO ABOUT ALLEGED COVER-UP OF BIDEN'S DECLINE"

People had suggestions—and feedback—for Fox.

Fox has been working hard to distract from the economy.

Back in March, Fox mouthpiece Laura Ingraham openly told her viewers to ignore the stock market because "Trump is good for business." Ingraham stated, "Just ignore the sky is falling reports and the regime press," but made no mention of Trump's six bankruptcy filings or his convictions for business fraud or his grifting of his family's charitable organizations.

Then on Thursday, people noted Fox News removed its stock ticker from their network broadcasts.

It must be completely unrelated, of course.

Stephen Colbert Makes Somber Plea To Americans In Wake Of Charlie Kirk's Death

Late-night host Stephen Colbert had a somber message for Americans as he addressed the assassination of far-right activist Charlie Kirk, stressing that "political violence only leads to more political violence."

Kirk died after an unidentified gunman shot him in the neck as he—ironically enough—mocked victims of gun violence at an event in Utah Valley State University. Kirk's murder has galvanized the far-right, with President Donald Trump and his surrogates claiming without evidence that rhetoric from Democrats is responsible for Kirk's death.

TikToker Hilariously Calls Out Target After Champion Pants Feature Awkwardly-Placed Front Pleat

Sometimes you can just tell when something was designed *for* women, but was not actually designed *by* women.

Take, for instance, the new pleated pants available at Target from the Champion clothing line. While there's nothing wrong with pleated pants and they certainly have a suitable spot in the workplace, the latest rendition of Champion pleated pants are, shall we say, NSFW.

Woman Goes Viral After Revealing How Her Obsession With Matcha Landed Her In The Hospital

Let's be honest: Too much of anything isn't good for us. It's all about the balance!

But the media and social media trends have taught us that certain things are really good for us, encouraging us to be like the "very mindful and very demure" girls and take care of ourselves. One such example is drinking more matcha, especially if you really like coffee or think you have a caffeine addiction.
