How many times have you watched a movie or a tv show and felt the need to eat what the characters were eating?

Sometimes when I'm watching something and someone starts a toast I run for wine.

It's like a switch turns on in my brain.

I've been watching things while deciding dinner plans and the next thing you know, the characters will pull into a restaurant and boom, I'm on my way.

Even the fictional in-world foods that aren't real can look enticing.

There are plenty of space movies where the feast looked tasty.

Let's be open to new delicacies.

Redditor SquietART wanted to discuss all the menu opulence that has never been realized. So they asked:

"What fictional food did you always want to try?"

I want the potion from 'Death Becomes Her', for a myriad of reasons. Even with the consequences it still looks like a refreshing libation.

Gargle

The Hitchhikers Guide To The Galaxy GIFGiphy

"A Pan Galactic Gargle Blaster."

"There used to be a bar in Ottawa, Canada called Zaphod's that served them. Was actually pretty damn good, I miss that place."

TheOvermatt

“power bar”

"Lembas bread."

-the-Bell-Witch-Bro

"I always figured lembas bread was like the protein bar of middle earth. I remember going through the mountains in Kosovo, so hungry, ate a 'power bar' (?) and could swear I could feel the nutrients being absorbed. They’d be good at first, but if you ate nothing but for a few days, you’d be sick of them."

Fallout

"The sodas in Fallout."

Swordsmasterguy

"Actually all of the sodas in Fallout including the Sunsets from New Vegas."

Swordsmasterguy

"You can still drink sarsaparilla. I don’t know any brands but you can find a recipe online pretty easy Helps with syphilis."

Poorly-Drawn-Beagle

The Feast

"The feast from Hook."

MaximumSupermarket80

"This was my first thought. As a child I always wanted to be apart of that feast... lol."

nthw1

"All those colors had my mouth dripping as a kid."

Tasteful_ick_Pics

"I saw a tiktok last week of a group of friends recreating it in their backyard, food fight included."

"My sister and I once cooked this for our family. It's fantastic as a themed mesh."

I'd want my plates and utensils to sing and dance as well or it's a no go.

"Those big damn sandwiches from Scooby-Doo."

All of it...

"Pretty much all the food from Ghibli films."

timtamsvsoreos

"A lot of that food is real though! Sophie grills up eggs and thick-cut bacon in Howl’s Moving Castle; the soot sprites are eating konpeito in Spirited Away; the boy’s mom in Ponyo makes the kids instant ramen."

"And for a touch of real suffering, you can pick up a tin of Sakuma Drops just like the one Setsuko loves. They even sold a Grave of the Fireflies commemorative edition of the Sakuma Drops, which was too much for me. I can’t even look at that candy tin without thinking about that movie."

Wizard Treats

"Some of the foods in Harry Potter sounds delicious."

greenappletree

"Butter beer is delicious for two sips and then it just makes you sick lol... They have it at universal in So-Cal, I had to toss the rest of the drink."

StiffyStaff91

"The hypersweet stuff that's like cream soda mixed with butter caramel flavoring? Or buttered beer, the super old drink that was the reason kings were so fat? Cuz yea either way those drinks are good for 2 sips before you gotta toss it." ~ completelytrustworth

Giphy

"Kronk's Spinach Puffs from Emperor's New Groove."

JojoNono17

The Mush...

"Okay this may be a little weird and unconventional but tubby custard and tubby toast from the teletubbies. I remember being so curious as to what they tasted like as a child, even though I now know that the custard was really just mashed potato with food coloring."

Vindictive_Justice

Now I'm starving. Imma try some of these.

Fox Host Slams Dem For Dropping An F-Bomb After Praising Trump For The Same Thing Just Minutes Earlier

Fox News host Emily Compagno was criticized after she praised Donald Trump's use of the "f-bomb" earlier this week before condemning Texas Democratic Representative Jasmine Crockett's use of the same word—on the same episode of her show, no less.

Trump made headlines this week after admonishing Israel and Iran for violating a ceasefire agreement he'd announced on Truth Social. Although he claimed the ceasefire had been "agreed upon," Iran fired at least six missile barrages at Israel after it was supposed to take effect.

State Department Slammed After Requiring Visa Applicants To Make All Social Media Posts Public For Vetting

The State Department is facing harsh criticism after it announced that anyone applying for an F, M, or J nonimmigrant visa will need to disclose all social media profiles from the last five years, requiring that all applicants set their posts to public so they can be properly vetted by its agents.

The agency said the new rules are part of a new screening process aimed at identifying individuals who may pose a threat to U.S. national security. According to the department, failure to comply could result in a denial, and consular officers have been instructed to flag signs of “hostility” toward the U.S.—though the criteria for such determinations remain vague.
