Eric Trump Mocked for His Attempt to Threaten Republicans Who Don't Challenge Electoral Vote Certification

Eric Trump Mocked for His Attempt to Threaten Republicans Who Don't Challenge Electoral Vote Certification
Fox News

On Wednesday afternoon, Vice President Mike Pence will oversee a joint session of the 117th Congress where the 538 electoral votes in the 2020 presidential election will be read aloud for Congressional acknowledgment.

President-elect Joe Biden earned 306 of those electoral votes, well over the 270 vote threshold needed to take the White House, but outgoing President Donald Trump continues to peddle the lie that massive election fraud coordinated by Democrats somehow awarded Biden a false victory.

Trump's attempts to undo the results through litigation, pressure on GOP swing state legislatures, and a robust disinformation campaign have all failed, but Trump and some of his supporters are pushing the notion that the so-called fraudulent election can be undone by Pence on January 6th.

Trump is erroneously promising his supporters that the Vice President has the power to overturn election results during the Congressional certification process.

Every state has certified its results and cast their electoral votes. Pence cannot unilaterally choose to throw out entire states because his ticket didn't win the election.

Some Republican lawmakers in both chambers intend to object to certification of results in numerous swing states, and while this will force these results into debate, Congress almost certainly won't throw out these results.

One of the President's sons, Eric Trump, shares the delusion that Trump will secure a second term out of the proceedings on January 6th.

Watch below.

Telling Fox News' Sean Hannity that Biden's win doesn't "feel right," Eric Trump said:

"I think tomorrow's gonna tell you a lot about the country ... Any Senator or any Congressman, meaning on this side, that does not fight tomorrow, their political career is over, because the MAGA movement is going nowhere. My father's created the political movement in American history."

He warned Republican lawmakers that if they didn't capitulate to Trump's election fraud fantasy, they would never be reelected.

"I'm telling you they will get primaried next time around and they will lose if they don't stand up and show some backbone and show some conviction."

The President's son made these claims as votes from the two Georgia runoff elections were trickling in. Senator-elect Raphael Warnock went on to defeat Republican incumbent Kelly Loeffler and Democrat Jon Ossoff seems set to replicate this defeat against incumbent Republican Senator David Perdue, giving Democrats a functional majority in the Senate.

Multiple Republicans are blaming Trump's disinformation campaign targeting the security of American elections.

People mocked Eric Trump for the huffing and puffing.

People especially roasted his declaration that the MAGA movement is "going nowhere."

The long-awaited joint session of Congress begins at 1PM.

Trump Ripped For Hypocrisy After Claiming He 'Doesn't Know' Who Crypto Founder He Just Pardoned Is

President Donald Trump was criticized after he claimed during a sit-down interview with 60 Minutes correspondent Norah O'Donnell that he doesn't know who Binance cryptocurrency exchange founder Changpeng Zhao is despite pardoning him less than two weeks ago.

In 2023, Zhao pleaded guilty to violating anti–money laundering laws after Binance allegedly failed to report suspicious transactions involving groups such as Hamas and al-Qaida. He later apologized, paid a $50 million fine, and served nearly four months in prison before being pardoned by Trump.

Gavin Newsom Expertly Trolls Trump Administration With Parody Spirit Halloween Costume Memes

California Governor Gavin Newsom had social media users cackling after he, in a series of photos on X, mocked Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth, Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem, and Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. with photoshopped meme versions of Spirit Halloween costumes.

Noem, who has led the nationwide immigration crackdown that continues to tear apart families around the country, is the "Border Barbie" of one meme that pokes fun at her for shooting her dog, her penchant for bringing camera crews wherever she goes, and the way South Park writers lampooned her in one of its most widely-seen episodes this year.
