Demi Lovato Asked ChatGPT To Roast Her—And The Results Had Her Cackling

The singer had her fiancé, Jordan Lutes, read ChatGPT's hilarious roast of her—and she was a good sport about it.

AI tools like ChatGPT definitely have their downsides—like those creepy uncanny valley images it makes and the fact that it's basically using up all available water on the planet.

However! The upshot is that they are getting very good at jokes, especially jokes at other people's expense.

Case in point: singer Demi Lovato, who asked ChatGPT to roast her and left the experience burnt to a crisp.

In a video posted to TikTok, Lovato had her fiancé Jordan Lutes read ChatGPT's hilarious takedown of her.

@ddlovato

“like babes pick a lane..”

The chatbot basically took no prisoners. It began by referencing one of Lovato's most popular tunes in order to drag her.

“Oh, you mean the artist formerly known as ‘confident,’ but now more like ‘confused’?"

Yikes. It then moved on to Lovato's somewhat famous knack for changing her look, style, musical presentation... pretty much everything.

"Demi Lovato has had more re-brands than a failing fast food chain."
"One minute, they’re punk rock, the next, they’re singing pop ballads, and somewhere in between, they’re beefing with a frozen yogurt shop."
"Like, babes, just pick a lane, or at least a consistent genre."

That "yogurt shop" part is a reference to a 2021 flap Lovato had with Bigg Chill fro-yo in L.A. because of it's participation in "diet culture."

But if you think ChatGPT was going to spare Lovato's actual musical talent from criticism, think again.

"And let’s not even talk about their song lyrics. What’s wrong with being confident? Nothing, Demi, but what’s wrong with being consistent, because your career path is giving ‘threw darts at a vision board while blindfolded.’"
"But hey, credit where credit is due: Demi’s voice is undeniable. If only their decision-making skills were as strong as their vocal cords.”

But like any good icon, Lovato left the roasting by responding only to the thinly veiled compliment in that final line. She responded: "So you think I'm a good singer?" Now that's a star.

On social media, people were laughing right along with ChatGPT and Lovato.

Yeah, when even a chatbot admits you got pipes mid-roast? Well, frankly, you win.

Nancy Mace Melts Down After Dem Rep. Points Out That Cosmetic Procedures Are 'Gender-Affirming Care'

On Wednesday, California Democratic Representative Sara Jacobs decided to address the elephant in the room—the GOP in general and self-described "proud transphobe" South Carolina MAGA Republican Representative Nancy Mace in particular—over their hypocrisy regarding gender-affirming healthcare procedures.

Mace is trying to amend a Defense Department funding measure to ban gender-affirming care for military members and their dependents, among other anti-LGBTQ+ budget amendments.

Nancy Mace Ripped After Using Transgender Slur To Refer To Charlie Kirk Killer

South Carolina Republican Representative Nancy Mace was fiercely criticized following the assassination of far-right activist Charlie Kirk when she used a slur to reference the rumored gender identity of the killer, who has yet to be identified by authorities.

Since Kirk's killing on Wednesday, Mace has erroneously claimed that rhetoric from Democrats is responsible for Kirk's death—and now she's taken the opportunity to once again attack transgender people, saying with no evidence whatsoever that "the shooter was a tr*nny, or pro-tr*nny."

Stephen Colbert Makes Somber Plea To Americans In Wake Of Charlie Kirk's Death

Late-night host Stephen Colbert had a somber message for Americans as he addressed the assassination of far-right activist Charlie Kirk, stressing that "political violence only leads to more political violence."

Kirk died after an unidentified gunman shot him in the neck as he—ironically enough—mocked victims of gun violence at an event in Utah Valley State University. Kirk's murder has galvanized the far-right, with President Donald Trump and his surrogates claiming without evidence that rhetoric from Democrats is responsible for Kirk's death.
