Cooper was so confused by the rapper's New Year's resolution to 'keep my foot on the b*tches' necks' that he needed clarification from cohost Andy Cohen.

As the clock struck midnight and confetti filled the air, CNN anchor Anderson Cooper seemed to have a resolution on his mind: deciphering the New Year's plans of rapper Nicki Minaj.

On CNN’s New Year’s Eve Live alongside co-host Andy Cohen, a snippet from Cohen's Watch What Happens Live featuring Minaj's 2024 resolutions was played.

Minaj boldly stated:

“My new year’s resolution is to keep my foot on the b**ches’ necks!”

Cooper, evidently bemused by Minaj's emphatic declaration, turned to Cohen, seeking clarity, only for Cohen to chuckle and reiterate Minaj's statement

Perplexed, Cooper questioned whom Minaj was referring to, to which Cohen humorously replied, “B**ches!”

You can watch what happened in the video below.

For those befuddled by Minaj's choice of words, she meant she wants to assert her dominance over her potential adversaries in the industry—not an oddball statement at all from someone known for having beef with other musicians.

Social media users buzzed instantly with amusement at Cooper's puzzled reaction and Cohen's jesting response.

In addition to making headlines for her humorous New Year's resolution, Minaj, who on New Year's Eve performed at the nightclub E11EVEN in Miami, Florida, courted attention for announcing to the crowd that she would no longer perform her hit song "Starships."

In a video shared by a fan, Minaj can be seen dressed in a sleek black bodysuit and starting to perform the opening lines of her 2012 hit from the album Pink Friday. However, after a brief moment singing the lyrics, Minaj signaled abruptly for the backing track to halt.

Minaj has openly expressed her disdain for "Starships" in the past, sharing her thoughts during a 2020 interview with Pollstar Live. At the time, she said she "hates" the song and said she asks herself "Why did I do that?" every time she hears it.

MAGA Fan Gets Blunt Reality Check After Raging That His Mom Can't Afford Thanksgiving Without SNAP

MAGA Threads user @chandlerparry went viral after he tried to pin the blame on Democrats for his mother not being able to afford Thanksgiving this year due to the pause on Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) benefits, only to be swiftly corrected over who actually caused the longest government shutdown in U.S. history.

The loss of SNAP is a result of the Trump administration's failure to spend contingency funds to feed people on the program, a decision that is resulting in a nationwide hunger crisis impacting millions of families.

Newsom Offers Scathing One-Word Response To 8 Democrats Who Caved And Voted With GOP To End Shutdown

California Governor Gavin Newsom criticized the eight Democratic Senators who voted with Republicans to end the government shutdown by advancing a spending deal that notably omits an extension of expanded Affordable Care Act (ACA) subsidies.

Under the current agreement, the enhanced subsidies would expire, though senators would have the option to revisit the issue later in the year. Supporters of the compromise say that deferring the vote was the only viable path forward, as many Republicans refused to discuss the subsidies until the government reopened.
