This just in: Lizzo and Chris Evans are having a baby! But not really.

American singer and three-time Grammy winner Lizzo posted a TikTok that has since gone viral in which she (jokingly) announced that she is having a baby—and the father is Marvel's Captain America himself, Chris Evans.

Evans has been friends with Lizzo since she drunkenly slid into his DMs on Instagram in April of this year.

During this exchange, Lizzo, who wasn't even following Evans on the social media site at the time, sent some thirsty messages his way, effectively "shooting her shot."

The next day, she made a post regretting what she had done.

She wrote:

"The reason I'm upset about this one is because I know I'm not going to be able to marry him, and honestly, it hurts me to the core."

To which Evans flirtatiously responded:

"No shame in a drunk DM" [kissing emoji]
"God knows I've done worse on this app lol."

Since this exchange, a friendship blossomed between Lizzo and Evans, which has led to some salacious rumors about the two. This gave Lizzo the perfect opening to play a joke on her fans.

Lizzo posted a TikTok in which she made a big (fake) announcement.

Reply to @notjustjosiahh THE SECRET IS OUT🇺🇸

In the video, she rubbed her stomach and jokingly said:

"This is something that I've been really trying to keep personal and private between me and the father of my child, but since we're airing out all the rumors today, I've been sucking in. We're gonna have a little America!"

This TikTok came amidst rumors of Lizzo being pregnant with Evans' baby, which a fan asked her to either confirm or deny.

In response, Lizzo decided to run with the rumor, and "confirm" that she was indeed pregnant (but not really) with Evans' child.

She then posted a follow-up TikTok in which she displayed screenshots of Evans in her DMs, after seeing her video.

Evans penned the most perfect response to Lizzo:

"Hi! Just heard about our little bundle of joy" [crying laughing emoji]
"My mother will be so happy lol."

He then added:

"(Just promise me no gender reveal parties lol)."

In her video, Lizzo continued:

"OMG YALL—HE SAW THE BABY BUMP!"
"WE DID IT! NOW YALL GOTTA NAME LIL MERICA!!!!! WHAT YALL BOUTA NAME MY BABY ?!"

This hilarious exchange between the two celebrities has fans shipping the two harder than ever.

Maybe this (fake) pregnancy will finally bring them together. And if we're lucky, the baby will have Lizzo's knack for music with a dash of Captain America's superpowers!
