Actor Cheynne Jackson posted a video in which he announced he and his husband Jason Landau recently experienced a “big night” in their family when their six-year-old twins came out to them.

The phrase "coming out" is a metaphor used to describe an LGBTQ+ person's disclosure of their sexual orientation, romantic orientation or gender identity.

The kicker?

Jackson's kids came out as straight.

In his video announcing the big moment, he flipped the process on its head.

You can hear what he said in the video below.

Jackson said:

“Our kids came out. As straight. We were eating dinner and out of the blue, Willow says, ‘I don’t think I’m gay'."
“Then, Ethan, without missing a beat and without looking up from his food goes, ‘Yeah, I’m not gay either. But I want to go to the parade'."

Fans certainly appreciated the video and what it said about unconditional love.

Jackson and his husband have been together since 2013, married since 2014 and welcomed their twins in 2016.

The actor recently said—in an interview with The Advocate—growing up he "always knew [he] didn't belong" while growing up "queer, different, in the little town that [he] did in northern Idaho."

Jackson recalled finally starting to feel "okay in [his] skin" once he started to perform in community theater but "it's still a daily struggle" to feel comfortable with himself.

Even so, he told the publication fatherhood—while busy and draining—is its own reward because there are "really are no words to describe the love I have for my family."

Jackson said he wants his children "to be people in the world that make it a better place."

He was thrilled when he saw them singing the song "Seasons of Love" from Rent with their respective kindergarten teachers as all he's "ever wanted... [is] to have kids spreading love and happiness."
