Ariana Grande debuts blonde hair as she prepares to perform the role of Glinda in the film version of 'Wicked.'

Fans of pop star Ariana Grande are over the moon--or the rainbow, as it were--for the singer's new look after she went blonde for her performance as Glinda in the two-film adaptation of Wicked.

Though this certainly isn't the first time Grande has rocked blonde locks, the change's seeming tie to the Wicked films has fans of the singer and the musical alike thunderously applauding.

Grande revealed her bold new look on Instagram on Wednesday, seen below, with a cheeky caption in which she pretended the post was actually about her earrings.

No doubt that the "new earrings" Grande called out in her caption are lovely, but the hair is of course what fans are most excited about. Nevertheless, Grande's colleagues on the Wicked movies ran with the earrings joke too.

Jon M. Chu, who is directing the adaptations, commented "Earrings look great!" before reposting Grande's post on his Instagram Story to the apt tune of Doris Day's "I'm Forever Blowing Bubbles."

And Grande's co-star Cynthia Erivo, who plays Elphaba in the films, got it in on the silliness too in comments and on her Instagram Story, in which she wrote of Grande's photo:

"Earrings are AMAZING!!... We love new jewelry!"

It's not exactly headline news when a star changes her hair, but in this case the change in tresses is all but certainly part of the Wicked production.

Grande added the photo to her Wicked highlight reel on Instagram, in which she's been sharing behind-the-scenes glimpses and rehearsal shots with Erivo, as seen below.

Grande and Erivo were both cast in the film adaptations last November to play the warring Glinda and Elphaba in the musical, a sort of prequel-like spin on the classic Wizard of Oz story, in which Elphaba is known as the Wicked Witch of the West and Glinda the Good Witch of the North.

The musical's and Grande's rabid fanbases have been united in their excitement for months now, and Grande's new hair seems to have only intensified the anticipation.

Fans have a long wait to see how Ari's new look figures into the Wicked films--they're slated to release during Christmas 2024 and 2025

MAGA Senator Claims You Could Turn Into 'Alien' From Eating 'Radioactive' Shrimp In Bonkers Rant

Louisiana MAGA Republican Senator John Kennedy brought visual aids to a presentation on the floor of the United States Senate on Wednesday. Standing next to a creature called a "chestburster" from the 1979 film Alien, Kennedy claimed people would end up looking like the juvenile xenomorph if they ate imported shrimp from Walmart.

The video was so bizarre that people thought it must be a deepfake making fun of the MAGA minion Senator. But all suspicions of trolling were dispelled when, proud of his performance, Kennedy posted it himself on X and YouTube—where he shared his full five and a half minute diatribe.
