Iowa Teen Critically Injured During 'In My Feelings' Challenge Attempt Has A Warning For Other Teens

The viral #InMyFeelings challenge, in which people bop along to the catchy Drake song of the same name has peaked, and not in a good way.

Anna Worden, an 18-year-old dancer, was rushed to the hospital after attempting the challenge out of a slowly moving vehicle and fell.

What started out as a viral dance craze with celebrities like Ciara and Will Smith participating in the stunt, also called the "Keke" challenge, became increasingly treacherous with every posting that began incorporating daredevil-like elements like dancing alongside a car in motion.

Here's an example:

Anna, who is from Bettendorf, Iowa, tried to do what many others have tried before her, but things took a near-fatal turn.

She recalled very little of the moment with CBS News.

We were over by the round-about, and I thought it would be a fun idea to do the 'Kiki Challenge,'
The last thing I remember was opening the door. So apparently I got out and tripped and fell and hit my head

Anna was unconscious as she was airlifted to the nearest hospital in Iowa City. She suffered a skull fracture, blood clots in her ear, and bleeding in her brain.

Her father, Mike Worden, feared the worst.

I had five minutes to give her a kiss and not know what was going to happen. I will always remember that.

After regaining consciousness in the ICU, she came to the sudden realization of what brought her there.

That's when it hit me like 'Wow, I'm actually in the University of Iowa hospitals because I tried to do some little challenge everyone's doing now, and I'm the one that got majorly hurt.

There are many videos posted where the challenge goes wrong, including one featuring an amateur stuntman who got hit by the car he was trying to jump onto.

The National Transportation Safety Board tweeted their stern warning about the dangers of performing the challenge.

Anna, who recently graduated from Pleasant Valley High School and had been a dancer all her life, is re-learning how to walk again. And now she's using her unfortunate accident as a warning to others.

Be more careful about the challenges and fads that you see that are going around. It may seem fun, and it may seem like it's easy, but at the same time they could be so dangerous.

Anna is lucky. She survived. This is a strong reminder that not all viral challenges are worth taking on for the sake of accumulating likes.

Anna has unfortunately joined a growing list of people doing the challenge for internet popularity, including this Florida man...

...this Punjabi woman...

...and, in much happier news, this dog.

Trump Ripped For Hypocrisy After Claiming He 'Doesn't Know' Who Crypto Founder He Just Pardoned Is

President Donald Trump was criticized after he claimed during a sit-down interview with 60 Minutes correspondent Norah O'Donnell that he doesn't know who Binance cryptocurrency exchange founder Changpeng Zhao is despite pardoning him less than two weeks ago.

In 2023, Zhao pleaded guilty to violating anti–money laundering laws after Binance allegedly failed to report suspicious transactions involving groups such as Hamas and al-Qaida. He later apologized, paid a $50 million fine, and served nearly four months in prison before being pardoned by Trump.

Gavin Newsom Expertly Trolls Trump Administration With Parody Spirit Halloween Costume Memes

California Governor Gavin Newsom had social media users cackling after he, in a series of photos on X, mocked Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth, Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem, and Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. with photoshopped meme versions of Spirit Halloween costumes.

Noem, who has led the nationwide immigration crackdown that continues to tear apart families around the country, is the "Border Barbie" of one meme that pokes fun at her for shooting her dog, her penchant for bringing camera crews wherever she goes, and the way South Park writers lampooned her in one of its most widely-seen episodes this year.
