Hockey player Anthony Beauvillier was looking for some holiday love this cuffing season.

On Christmas day he tweeted at his celebrity crush, Anna Kendrick.

Anthony Beauvillier is a 22-year-old hockey player for the New York Islanders. He was a first-round pick for the Islanders in 2015 and is one of their most-improved players this year.

Anna Kendrick, 34, is known for her acting and singing in movies like Pitch Perfect and the new Christmas movie from Disney+, Noelle.

Beauvillier may be younger than the actress but that did not stop him from taking a shot.

The hockey player's Tweet was modest and coy, so the internet helped him out a little bit.

A couple days after Anthony's sweet Tweet made its debut, Anna finally responded.

The Tweet reads:

"These replies have been my entertainment for the last two days. Thank you all for regaling me with the true tales of this man's heroism."

The internet is so excited by the connection.

However, others wants to know what Anna's Tweet means.

Unfortunately for Anthony, it has long been rumored that Kendrick is dating the British filmmaker, Ben Richardson.

Kendrick's film Mr. Right is available here.

Billionaire Roasted After Giving Dating Advice To Young Men By Touting His Truly Awkward Pick-Up Line

“May I meet you?”

No, this is not a pick-up line from your grandfather’s dusty box of love letters. Nor was it penned by Jane Austen, Shakespeare, or even a Bridgerton-era footman who slipped through a cosmic wormhole to rescue modern romance.
