For many of us, Sundays are a day of rest and relaxation, but if rapper Ye's social media posts yesterday are any indication, his Sunday was anything but.

In several since-deleted posts on social media yesterday, Ye lashed out at his critics for speaking out against his ever escalating public attacks against ex-wife Kim Kardashian and her current boyfriend, SNL actor Pete Davidson.

And in the case of one critic, comedian DL Hughley, Ye didn't just lash out—he actually directly threatened Hughley in the caption of an Instagram post many interpreted as an admission Ye is willing to pay people to physically harm Hughley.

See a screenshot below.

In the since-deleted post, Ye wrote:

"...DL Hughley is a pawn. Yeah I know a king not supposed to address a pawn but I address everything and find addresses DL.
"So don't speak on me or my children. I can afford to hurt you."

Ye's threats came after Hughley spoke in a recent interview about Ye's treatment of Davidson, Kardashian and their children, which many have identified as obsessive and stalking.

Hughley echoed that sentiment and spoke of how frequently behavior like Ye's can escalate to something far more dangerous.

"It's never been funny... I've watched too many times when things like that happen and a woman or somebody's not believed, and then things escalate."
"He is stalking her."

He then implied Ye's superstardom has insulated him from any consequences of his behavior toward Kardashian.

"The difference between him and [someone who would have] a restraining order [against them] is about 20 hits and a couple of hundred million dollars. I just don't think it's funny."

In another deleted post, Ye attacked Hughley again for his comments, calling him a has-been and castigating him in bizarrely religious terms.

Ye wrote:

“God does not like you You have no favor Your family hates you I would hate to be related to somebody who used to be famous"
"Now you just known as a broke pawn. at least Oprah got billions ‘allegedly.’”

On Twitter, many people found Ye's posts shocking and were firmly on team Hughley.

One person who is definitely not disturbed by Ye's threats is DL Hughley himself, who posted a mocking response on Twitter.

Surely Ye will have something to say about this, too.
