Woman Has Unhinged Meltdown After Guy Blocks Her In Parking Spot For Hitting His Car

Woman Has Unhinged Meltdown After Guy Blocks Her In Parking Spot For Hitting His Car

We want to start this article off by first recommending that you do NOT block in or stand in the path of a vehicle being driven by anyone who seems intent on driving away.

It's not safe for you or your vehicle.

Having said that, one man made exactly that choice after witnessing a driver who was so unsafe, he felt he had to do something about it.

He came out okay, although his car might need some TLC.

We don't know what ultimately ended up happening to the unsafe driver, but it's pretty safe to say there will probably be some court involvement based on the video.

According to the person who shot the video—which you can see at the end of this article, the driver had already hit multiple vehicles while speeding down the highway. When she pulled into a gas station, he pulled directly behind her to block her car from leaving the scene while police were contacted.

Blocking her in didn't work in the end, but we'll get there.

First, we need to talk about this:

This is her car at the beginning of the video, before her meltdown and great escape really get going. Notice the crumpled hood and bits of things underneath?

This is as good as the car will ever look.

The video opens with the man telling her this is a hit and run, she needs to do the right thing and wait for officers. She is in no way interested in doing that and instead opts to drive forward and backwards a few times.

In the process she taps his vehicle and rips the front bumper off of her own car.

No worries, though.

She's not into littering so she makes sure to get out of the car and pick up the bumper so she can shove it into the front seat of the car.

The man keeps filming as she erratically wriggles the car around in that parking spot, hitting machinery, wrecking the undercarriage and ending up on the sidewalk more than a few times.

She asks him to move, sobbing as she explains:

"It's already a hit and run! I already ran! You guys don't understand how mean my grandma is!"

It's at this point that her behavior, her crying about grandma and the fact that she seems to be dressed for a volleyball match may make some pause and think, "Wait, maybe she's a teenager..."

However, according to multiple witnesses on scene that is not the case. In fact, the woman is known to locals.

Her name is Riley, she is in her mid-twenties and has been in trouble with the law before.

We don't know how much that factored into her actions on this particular day, and we will not speculate about her mental state or her potential level of intoxication. We will say that she certainly made some less-than-expected choices.

Yup, that's what we're going to call it.

Giphy

We stated earlier that attempting to block her in didn't work. So let's talk about that. When we say he blocked her in, we mean he really blocked her in.

Most people wouldn't even attempt to get away when their car is blocked in this tightly.

Rather than wait, or flee on foot, she decided to plow forward, adjust the angle and then throw the car into reverse and slam on the gas. That sent the car bouncing backwards up over curbs and straight at the man filming.

He responds by dodging out of the way and shouting:

"Are you kidding me? You almost hit me!"

The driver, who has already put the car back in drive and is adjusting the steering wheel to flee the scene responds by sobbing:

"I'm sorry. I'm sorry, man, I'm sorry!"

Then speeding away.

The man who shot the video ended up unharmed, but had to wait nearly two hours for authorities to show up on scene. The hit and run driver was clearly long gone by then.

According to social media updates, she was found and arrested. But promptly bailed out by her super mean grandma.

So be on the lookout, California drivers. She's still out there with you guys. No word on that bumper, though...
