The actor's son Magnus jumped on the recent "my emergency contact" trend in which people film their loved ones doing questionable things, showing his famous dad awkwardly dancing.

Leave it to comedic actor Will Ferrell to show how a ridiculous viral TikTok trend can be even more absurd.

The Old School actor's son, Magnus Ferrell, 20, shared a clip of his dad to participate in the "My Emergency Contact" trend that pokes fun at the person they've selected to be in charge in an emergency.

The trend involves a user sharing a brief clip of said emergency contact, usually a significant other or family member, doing something foolish or bizarre to invoke the question, "Are they really the person to contact in case of an emergency?"

The clips are set to the Hannah Montana song “Ordinary Girl."

Here are some examples, starting with this guy who willingly shoves his head into a thick wall of snow.

And now, Will Ferrell has joined the growing list of the trend's participants, showing that he marches to the beat of his own drum—and his son Magnus made sure the world knows about it.

Magnus posted a video of his dad jamming out, and it went viral with over 1.3 million views on TikTok.

Ferrell is seen wearing a red shirt and baggy dad shorts, strutting back and forth with unbending arms like a mummy while awkwardly thrusting his hips.

The 57-year-old's deadpan expression shows his commitment and that he truly doesn't care who's watching.

Here's the clip.

TikTokers gave Ferrell props for his entry.

Ferrell recently starred alongside Reese Witherspoon in Prime Video's new romantic comedyYou’re Cordially Invited.

He also starred in the critically acclaimed documentary Will & Harper, which received rave reviews and was named one of the top five documentary films of 2024 by the National Board of Review.

Sadly, it didn't get an Oscar nomination for Best Documentary Feature this year, which Ferrell jokingly expressed his grievance about on the The Late Show with Stephen Colbert.

But at least he can dance with the best of 'em.

Bernadette Peters Offers Hilarious Reaction To Cole Escola's Tribute To Her Iconic Gown At The Tony Awards

Awards shows always have two competitions: the actual awards, and the red carpet outside.

AG Pam Bondi's Brother Blames 'Rabid Partisans' After Getting Absolutely Walloped In DC Election

MAGA Republican President Donald Trump has often bragged about his overwhelming victory over Democratic Vice President Kamala Harris, claiming he won by a landslide. But while he did manage to finally win a popular vote in 2024, something he lost in 2016 and 2020, it was hardly a landslide.

About 90 million eligible, registered voters didn't bother to vote at all in 2024, while Trump garnered only ~77 million votes, VP Harris received about ~75 million—a difference of only ~2 million which is less than the population of Trump's hometown of Queens, New York City.

Kristi Noem's Past Views On National Guard Come Back To Bite Her After She Backs Trump Amid LA Protests

California Governor Gavin Newsom called out the hypocrisy of Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem after sharing a clip from last year showing she'd once criticized the Biden administration for considering deploying the National Guard when Democrats suggested it as a response to Texas' immigration crackdown at the time.

That's noteworthy because Noem has made an about-face, defending President Donald Trump's decision to deploy the National Guard to Los Angeles amid ongoing protests in response to his administration's immigration raids by claiming he'd taken this drastic step "for the safety of this community ... to keep peace."
