People all over the internet had something in their eyes after the release of photos showing the late actor Paul Walker's daughter Meadow being walked down the aisle by actor Vin Diesel at her wedding.

The two co-starred in several iterations of the Fast and Furious film franchise and were very close friends before Walker's death in a 2013 car crash.

Meadow Walker posted photos of Diesel stepping in to take her father's place, seen below.

Meadow Walker, a model, and her now-husband Louis Thornton-Allan, wed over the weekend in the Dominican Republic, surrounded by a guest list that also included Jordana Brewster, who also appeared in several Fast and Furious films as Paul Walker's love interest turned wife.

Over the years since her father's death, Meadow is said to have grown very close to several of her father's co-stars, whom she joined on the red carpet at the premier of F9, the latest installment of the franchise, earlier this year.

Paul Walker's memory looms large in the production of the films, too. Shortly before F9's release, director Justin Lin, along with Diesel and fellow cast member Ludacris, spoke about how they worked to include Paul Walker's memory in the new film. Meadow and Walker's brothers have also collaborated on some of the franchise's sequels, including F9.

In an interview before F9's release, Diesel discussed how the films have become a way for him to remember his fallen friend.

"I never think I'm continuing the franchise in his absence. I always feel like I'm continuing the franchise in his honor."

Given the love the cast has for Paul Walker and the role Diesel has played in Meadow's life, it's hard to think of a more perfect choice to step into her father's role at her wedding.

And fans online were definitely feeling the love.

If certain Hollywood rumors are true, Diesel and Meadow Walker may get another chance to honor Paul Walker's memory.

There are reports she will appear in the upcoming 10th installment of the Fast and Furious series.
