Don Jr. Tried to Own the Libs With Super Bowl Tweet and It Backfired Magnificently

His father, former Republican President Donald Trump, was decisively defeated at the ballot box, left the White House last month embroiled in scandal, and is now facing a second impeachment, potential financial ruin, and a raft of possible criminal charges.

But none of that concerns Donald Trump Jr.. What he's really worried about is one thing and one thing only: "woke" Super Bowl commercials.

At least, that's what got him up in arms on Twitter during last night's big game--and he's getting roasted like a pan full of buffalo wings in return.

Trump Jr.'s notably misspelled tweet came just moments after kick-off, lodging his complaint during the first commercial of the first break in the action. Trump Jr. tweeted:

"One comercial [sic] in and it's already woketopia."

So what commercial got under Trump Jr.'s seemingly very thin skin?

Was it the one for the NFL itself that gave a nod to Black Lives Matter and the struggle for racial justice, perhaps? Not quite.

Trump Jr. didn't make it clear exactly which ad he was referring to, but the first commercial shown during this year's Super Bowl was a far from provocative ad for Jeep featuring rock-n-roll legend Bruce Springsteen.

In it, Springsteen advocated not for leftist policies or a repudiation of the Trump years, but rather or Americans to simply meet in the middle--a sentiment that would likely anger many people on the so-called "woke left" for pandering to Republicans. Hardly the stuff of "woketopia."

In the ad, Springsteen simply calls for people on the right and left to come together.

"All are more than welcome to come meet here in the middle. It's no secret the middle has been a hard place to get to lately, between red and blue, between servant and citizen, between our freedom and our fear."
"...as for freedom, it's not the property of just the fortunate few, it belongs to us all. Whoever you are, wherever you're from, it's what connects us, and we need that connection. We need the middle."

Really incendiary stuff, suggesting that freedom is for everyone, huh?

One wonders what Trump Jr.'s expectations were if such a simple sentiment is considered runaway wokeness. Something more along the lines of, "Trump won and the election was stolen, buy a Jeep," perhaps?

On Twitter, folks found Trump Jr.'s tweet ridiculous, and a thorough roasting quickly ensued.

Others took the opportunity to remind Trump Jr. of the potential legal challenges he and his family members are facing.

While others pointed out that Trump Jr. shouldn't be watching the Super Bowl anyway, since the Trump family has supposedly been boycotting the NFL over players kneeling during the national anthem.

Former president Trump has repeatedly called for boycotts of the NFL in response to the practice of some players kneeling during the national anthem in protest against racial violence, especially at the hands of police, and in support of Black Lives Matter.

Trump most recently called for a boycott amidst the waves of nationwide anti-racism protests last summer, when commissioner of the NFL Roger Goodell changed course on the issue and expressed support for the movement, a move many Trump supporters saw as a betrayal.

Lauren Boebert Dragged For Leaking Photo Of Hillary Clinton's Closed Door Epstein Deposition To MAGA YouTuber

Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton's deposition in the Epstein case had to be paused yesterday after Colorado Republican Representative Lauren Boebert secretly snapped a photo of her and sent it to right-wing podcaster Benny Johnson—who then immediately posted it online.

Clinton, who along with her husband, former President Bill Clinton, had insisted on testifying publicly regarding matters tied to the late financier, pedophile, and sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein, faced hours of questioning in a closed-door deposition after Republican Chair of the House Oversight Committee refused to make their depositions public.

New York Gov. Kathy Hochul Trolls Kash Patel With Epic Zing Over 'Heated Rivalry' Airbnb Listing

MAGA Republican President Donald Trump's FBI Director, Kash Patel, is facing backlash over his taxpayer-funded locker room booze fest at the Milano Cortina Winter Olympics in Italy.

Patel flew to Italy on a taxpayer-funded FBI plane despite having repeatedly criticized his predecessors for such excursions throughout 2023 and 2024. But an FBI spokesperson claimed it was not a personal trip because Patel met with Italian law enforcement and the U.S. ambassador to Italy during his visit.
