In the face of recently released FBI materials regarding the origins of the Russia investigation, President Donald Trump is leading the charge in accusing his predecessor, former President Barack Obama of illegally allowing the FBI to investigate the Trump campaign.

In reality, there was documented evidence that the Russian government was attempting to interfere in the United States election to deliver a win for now-President Donald Trump. The FBI subsequently investigated if there were any Russian agents infiltrating the Trump campaign.

Eager for revenge, however, Donald Trump has repeatedly tweeted about "Obamagate" and called for retribution.

On Thursday, he urged Senate Judiciary Committee chairman and Trump devotee Lindsey Graham (R-SC) to call Obama to testify before the committee.

For his part, Trump has refused to publicly testify before any congressional committee and ignored any and all congressional subpoenas.

Lindsey Graham was asked for his response to the tweet, and made clear that he wouldn't be acquiescing to Trump's demands:

"I'm very, very sensitive to the separation of powers, executive branch — we do have oversight of it as Congress, appropriate oversight. But hauling a former president before an oversight committee, I don't think that's been done before. And presidentially, I'd be careful what I wish for."

Graham reiterated that if Obama was compelled to testify after his tenure as President, the same could be expected of Donald Trump.

"I don't think now's the time for me to do that. I don't know if that's even possible. I have grave concerns about the role of executive privilege and all kinds of issues,. I understand President Trump's frustration, but be careful what you wish for. Just be careful what you wish for."

Graham's committee is, however, launching an investigation into the origins of the Russia probe—an investigation called "Crossfire Hurricane."

People laughed that one of Trump's most devout sycophants was quick to throw cold water on Trump's demand.

People are right that Obama's testimony would likely make a laughingstock of Republicans. Trump himself couldn't name what crime Obama supposedly committed in "Obamagate."

Trump's tweet was widely mocked.

Good luck with that, Donald.

Trump Dragged After Making Ridiculous Claim About Randomly Finding Billions On The 'Tariff Shelf'

President Donald Trump was criticized after he claimed to reporters this week that officials in his administration suddenly found $30 billion they "never knew existed"—located on what Trump referred to as the "tariff shelf."

Tariffs are a tax on imported goods, usually calculated as a percentage of the purchase price. While tariffs can shield domestic manufacturers by making foreign products more expensive, they are also used as a tool to penalize countries engaged in unfair trade practices, such as government subsidies or dumping goods below market value.

Bride's Friends Surprise Her With Montage Video Of All Her Exes At Bachelorette Party—And People Are Mortified

While Jenny Han's novel To All the Boys I've Loved Before was a major hit, and even became a great film success in 2018, not everyone's married to the idea of reconnecting with their exes after the relationships end.

It might be nice to imagine staying friends after the relationships, imagining our exes missing us or regretting losing us, or even giving us an apology for the things they did wrong. But most of us pine for this for a little while, realize it's all a fairy tale, and push past it to better things and new love.
